Proud Family Moment Incoming! Saturday Kirklyn and I headed to the woods in hopes of getting her first buck of the year. With the cold front hitting us that weekend and the white oak dropping you just never know what could happen in these West Virginia mountains. So with the evening coming to an end this beautiful bear emerged from the timber and started feeding right to us. Kirklyn was having what I can only describe as a panic attack. I got her behind the @ravincrossbows and tried to get her calmed down. It really reminded me of what buck fever was like when I was her age. Her little body was shaking out of her boots, I talked her through it and just like the good lord drew it up. This big, old sow stopped broadside at 32 yards and Kirklyn squeezed off and let the @beast_broadheads fly! The arrow hit perfectly and then the real panic attack set in. I assume that’s the first time her little self has experienced an adrenaline dump like that. She was crying and laughing and crying and worrying and laughing. She had all the emotions and was having a full on Ricky Bobby moment where she didn’t know what to do with her hands. We made a couple phone calls and got packed up. We walked over to look for blood and within about 45 seconds she picked up the blood trail and down off the mountain we went. A short 75 yard track job later, our baby had her hands on her very first bear, and what a bear it was. It’s not every day you make a forever memory and I have been lucky to enough to understand the value of those now. This is and always will be a forever memory for us. Not that it matters, but this sow dressed out at 215 lbs and our estimated age is 12 years old. The freezers are full and we have one happy little hunter! Thankful more than ever to have grown up in these West Virginia mountains and be able to raise our sweet baby girl here. West By God provides one more forever memory and we are on to the next. Special thank you to a very good friend whom will go unnamed. @heatherlcurry @therealbeardedassassin @prettyhunterusa

great afternoon out in the blind 🤎 didn’t get anything, but as @dennis_h_lewis said yesterday, “that’s why it’s called deer hunting, not deer killing.”

I left a pretty sweet discount code in my bio for y’all to use on your next Pretty Hunter purchase 🦌

Wearing vs styling✨
All you need is a cute belt & some fun jewelry to add to your outfit! My favorite new belt from @prettyhunterusa & the necklaces, everything hand made & so unique can be worn with anything!

Turns out I missed her too. 🤍 I’m not fully there yet. I’m still figuring a lot of things out and putting pieces of myself back together. But lately I’ve started catching little glimpses of the old me again. Getting dressed up. Piling on way too much jewelry. Being goofy. Laughing more and smiling for no reason. Just little things I didn’t realize I’d lost for a while. There are little moments where I catch myself and think, oh… there you are. I missed you. And clearly she still loves her jewelry 😂 Wearing some of my favorites from @antlerrings and @prettyhunterusa here. I’m convinced there’s no such thing as too many rings, bracelets, or a statement necklace. I’ve still got a ways to go. But I’m starting to recognize the girl in the mirror again, and that feels pretty damn good. 🤍 #AntlerRings #PrettyHunter #WesternJewelry #WesternStyle #FindingMyselfAgain

Being a musician has always been a huge part of who I am, but it’s not the only part of me. 🤎

I love getting dressed up, I love being feminine, and I also love getting muddy, casting a line, and spending time outdoors. I’ve never felt like I should have to choose between those sides of myself.

That’s why I’m so excited to work with @prettyhunterusa 🤎They represent something I genuinely believe in: that you can be a woman who loves the outdoors, hunting and fishing, while still embracing your femininity and feeling beautiful doing it.

Personally, my favorite pieces out of this collection are the tassel earrings and necklace. They’re so badass and cute at the same time. Check them out using the link in my bio and use code “CIERA” for a special discount.
