From an idea to a collection and from Guyana to New York.

Lotus Rising represents growth, transformation and stepping into a new season brought to life through denim, blue &cream floral lace, handmade details and countless hours behind the scenes.

Seeing this collection on a New York runway is a moment I’m incredibly proud of.

To the people who helped me get here…My friend who constantly pushed me to believe in myself and reminded me that great things could happen for me, my mom who helped me every step of the way, my friends who showed up and helped backstage, my family and loved ones , my friends who came out to support me and my entire Guyanese support system…thank you. 🤍

To my creative collaborators, thank you for sharing your talents with me from the custom earrings to the beautiful beaded bags that helped complete the looks. I’m grateful we got to create something together and give each other’s talents a space to shine.

Went from someday to Runway!
This is what following your dreams looks like. This journey has been a decade in the making, when I was just a boy from Bellflower with a dream and a machine. When I started sewing I had no idea where it would take me, I was just following my heart. This craft has given me so much purpose, not just to make dope clothes but to bring eco fashion and upcycling to the forefront of fashion. In a world full of fast fashion I vowed to represent intentional apparel construction. Show the people that what you wear matters and make it look fly in the process! I wanna thank @themodelexperience for giving me the platform to bring my vision to New York Fashion Week. Thank all my models for aligning with me and absolutely killing these looks and representing my art so immaculately. My family, my mother for allowing me to start over 10 years ago and follow my righteous path and art career by moving into her home to go back to school @orangecoastcollege and supporting me through the ups and downs of this crazy industry. My lady for holding me and the household down when my creative process consumes me. And last but not least God, for giving me the power, patience and drive to never give up and love myself enough to lead with my heART!
