as long as @faridahlikestea keeps writing bangers and going on book tours to @brooklinebooksmith, the naija gang will be there🫡🇳🇬🫶🏽

Four Eids and a Funeral, co-authored with Abida Jaigirdar, is a Muslim romcom that i can’t wait to finally sink my teeth into 🥰 been avoiding all the buzz and spoilers so i could wait till the signing event for my copy, but i can already tell you it’s gonna be a 5-star read✨

again, please donate to the tagged fundraiser for Palestine or check my highlight for other options to help our kin out. shit’s scary right now. do what you can to lighten the load for someone else, especially the marginalized, vulnerable, oppressed, and downtrodden 🫶🏽

fyi, it was a false alarm; the fire department did indeed show up, but nothing was ablaze and no one died👍🏽👍🏽👍🏽

naija no dey carry last🇳🇬🇳🇬🇳🇬🗣️🗣️🗣️🙌🏽🙌🏽🙌🏽 three Ìgbò baddies ready to run some 419 scams on all y’all mofos🤪

Faridah Àbíké-Íyímídé is an absolute delight, and it was lovely to attend the book signing and chat at @brooklinebooksmith 🥹🥰 so if you don’t grab a copy of Where Sleeping Girls Lie from @bookshop_org, i will be personally offended and make very sad faces at you.

also it’s still #FreePalestine all day every day so drop a couple of bucks to the tagged fundraiser or check my Free Palestine highlight for more ways to help our siblings in Gaza🫶🏽

Don’t throw out those silica gel packets! They say “do not eat,” but that doesn’t mean they don’t have other uses…

☀️ A new vocab word for you: desiccant! Silica gel is a desiccant, meaning it is good for drying out things or keeping them dry. Here are three ways I reuse these handy dandy freebies.

🌸 Pressed flowers! I keep my pressed flower collection well-preserved by adding silica packets into the box. This keeps the petals dry, so they maintain their color and don’t stick together. The lack of moisture also prevents mold from growing!

📱 Wet electronics! To save a water-damaged phone, fill a Ziplock bag, reusable silicone baggy, or airtight container with the gel packets. Turn off the phone, throw it in, and let it sit for a few days. The moisture will dry out enough to either save the phone or salvage it enough to copy the data for a replacement. Plus, they’re reusable!

☕️ Loose leaf tea! I like to get my favorite tea components in bulk or order blends from @teaandabsinthe. To help preserve the freshness, keep a few packets in the airtight container where your tea is stored! Savor that flavor. 🥰

Yesterday’s delayed #MakeWithMe! I got some smaller glow-in-the-dark stars, so now I have a stud/post version of the Starlight Starbright earrings. 🥰
