We did it, y’all! We sold in person for the first time! 🥹

After launching just four months ago, we thought we’d dip our toe into the waters of vending and of course, we had to do it up.

While in Houston for SIC’s retreat, we hosted eight needlepoint designers for a pop up for our retreat guests. Once they had a chance to shop, we opened the doors to the public for a mini needlepoint market of sorts. We are SO proud of the turnout.

Houston was awesome! Thank you to everyone who came to support, say hi, shop. Thank you the vendors that made this an actual event with us. It means more than we can express.

There was really no way to know what to expect when we decided to take this on. You can’t pay for all that we learned and took away. It was worth every bit of the hard work.

Anddd, there’s so much more coming..

Over the next few days and weeks, you’ll start seeing us introduce the first three collective designers to join House of Color; all of whom we met through our needlepoint club. 🥹 We feel so blessed to have these ladies on our team and incredibly grateful that they trusted us with their work, even when we had no proof of concept and could only share the vision of what we hoped to build.

With all the delays in the supply chain, this has been a long time coming. These ladies submitted their very first round of designs to us at the end of last year, so needless to say, we are ALL ready to finally start bringing them to you.

Trust us, you’re gonna love em! 🫶🏽

• This month, our farthest traveler drove 3 hours each way to stitch with us

Y’all, the brief for this project was specific! Zahabiyah and Arielle had such an exact vision for their beautifully designed and stitched custom name tags that I couldn’t let my inexperience get in the way 😂 In the end, I think I got pretty close with some concessions 😉 You can see the journey I took myself on to bring their idea to life in my stories.

I’m so grateful to these incredible ladies for creating @stitchingincolorndlpt, and I’m excited to watch @houseofcolorndlpt grow. I better see these lanyards around your necks at the retreat!
