I’m SO excited! We got an owl barn!!!🦉 This is made and installed locally by @prichtheowlguy I justified it in my head as a natural rodent control method but truly I just really want to witness some marvelous birds of prey in our field. This nest could house either barn/screech owls or kestrels. Let’s see how long it takes to find some residents. ❤️ #flowers #flowerfarmer #owl #eagleidaho #farmstand

It's install season. Anytime between now and February is the best time to install. The sooner the better. The babies are looking for their own spaces and egg laying starts as early as late February. Happy to collaborate with some amazing groups to secure rodenticide free habitats and better chemical free solutions for large industrial farming. Grateful for all the friends that help make releases with supplemental habitats possible. These owls now have the best chance for survival. Much better than a free release for sure. The towel is only left on for about 20 minutes to calm them and then we remove it for them to venture out on their own. Barn owl's will eat over 1000 rodents a year each. When nesting with babies, they consume over 100 rodents per week. 1 poison rat can kill an entire family. Please help us get this rodenticides out of the environment by providing better solutions for farms and Wildlife. Please check out our bio for more info. #wildlifeconservation #wildliferescue #pestcontrol #farm

No Vacancy🦉🦉 We are so excited to have owls in our own box! Not only are we suckers for the beautiful and mysterious creatures that owls are.... But we need their help! Our back property is riddled with voles and gophers. Last fall we decided to call in some reinforcements. Well... the cavalry has arrived! From what we can tell, we have a pair of beautiful barn owls occupying our box. We hope they enjoy their honeymoon suite and get busy starting a family with many mouths to feed!😉🤞 Thanks again @prichtheowlguy for your help! We can't wait to get to know our new feathered friends!🦉🦉 #barnowl #owl #mccallistergardens #meridianidaho #novacancy

🦉Owl box installed🦉 We have talked about installing owl boxes on our property almost since we moved in... And the day has finally arrived!👏😁 We are excited to work with Glen at @prichtheowlguy to provide a lovely home in our back garden for some future feathered friends! This is a barn owl box that Glen designed and manufactures right here in the Treasure Valley! We have a strong interest in providing habitats for more wildlife in and around our property... But the voles and gophers have got to go😤😡! Fortunately... The main meal of choice for barn owls happens to be voles and gophers!!! So... If you see a barn owl... Let them know we have a vacancy!😉 #mccallistergardens #owl #owlbox #gophers #voles #naturesremedy
