Food lovers in and around London ❤️🧿🎉I am absolutely delighted to be returning to @lacucinacaldesi cooking school in London to teach a full-on flavour, hands on cookery class on Saturday, November 28th, from 10 am to 3pm, where we will cook up a feast from my new cookery book ISTANBUL, Delicious Recipes from the Heart of the City together and then sit around the table to enjoy the fruits of our labour with a glass of wine or two🥂.

Caldesi Cookery School specialises on and passionate about authentic Italian cookery, a cuisine dear to my heart too, with our mutual love of seasonal produce. It’s an absolute honour to be invited back to teach this special and generous class, to celebrate delicious, diverse Istanbul flavours on Saturday, November 28th.

The class would make a lovely foodie gift to yourself or someone who enjoys good food and learning how to make. Book your spot soon via @lacucinacaldesi , as spaces are limited ✨As always, you will get plenty of tips on preparing ahead, freezing, making variations of recipes. You will be welcomed with warm Turkish and Italian hospitality, plenty of delicious food to cook and enjoy and stories from Istanbul. I will also make everyone Turkish coffee, talk about its rituals; more than a drink for us.

We have a delicious and generous menu from ISTANBUL cookbook (photography by @samaharris , food styling by @esthermclark ) which includes:

🧿 Cheat’s lahmacun with sumac onions piyaz salad

🧿 Beets with green olives, toasted hazelnuts and pul biber oil

🧿 Oval flatbreads with cheese, peppers, tomatoes, mushrooms, Sebzeli pide

🧿 Lentil soup with cumin and spiced oil

🧿 Poached pumpkin dessert with clotted cream - delicious and easy seasonal treat!🎃

🧿Turkish Coffee

You’ll be pleasantly surprised to see how easy the recipes are; I love teaching these classes, always a joy to see the class inspires.

ISTANBUL cookery book will be available to purchase at the class and I would be happy to sign for you. I loved teaching at @lacucinacaldesi and their warm hospitality and look forward having your company with us on November 28th!🎉🧿❤️

Wow! What a mind blowing night! I’m still totally buzzing after the incredible and utterly mesmerising sets from both @opensightband and @wearepolymath as they launched their fantastic new albums with us last night.

The high is just as massive for the amazing atmosphere in the packed out room last night from both bands, who were an absolutely pleasure to work with, and all you lovely, lovely audience – honestly, it was like having all your best mates round your house for a party night! – huge love to each and every one of you for your enthusiasm and respect for both bands too! We see it and love you all for making Chaos Theory shows that bit more special.

I’ve got to say a huge thank you to @thegraceldn for being such a great venue for us and your amazing team for being so great to work with, to go into a venue and get to work with a crew who make everyone feel welcomed and wanting to make a great show absolutely means the world. Thank you!

To my amazing Chaos Theory colleagues last night: Nelly, Amelia, Sue, Estie, you are all so brilliant always and all your work last night just made sure everything was perfect, it really is an honour that I to get to work with you , Thank You!
Kunal, I think we did you proud!

I cannot wait for the chance to do all this again soon!

Alan certainly knows how to set up a merch stall eh?

Going to be hard to resist so much quality merch from these awesome awesome bands. It's a good job we've still got some 15 Years Of Chaos tote bags for sale 😉

We wanted to take the time to say a massive thank you to @ravenrecords_camden @laybarerecordings and @pride_management for organising and hosting a very special event on our tour.

It was such an honour to have an album play-through event for ‘Solitude Over Control’ at the one and only Raven Records, an organisation who do so much for the community.

We have so much admiration for what they do, and of course they’re lovely people who made us feel so welcome in their beautiful store.

We were also treated to a beautiful live acoustic set by @taz_corona_music
It was so lovely to connect and chat with people about our new album and music in general, if you’re ever in London make sure you go to Raven Records! 🖤xxx

We are still reflecting on how beautiful, exhausting and magical our recent tour was. We absolutely love the photos we received today by @magda_campagne of our set at Lay Bare Fest. This was an unforgettable day where we got to meet many of our label family for the first time in person and see just how diverse and creative the roster is. We are so honoured to be amongst some of the most exciting bands at the moment. Thank you again to @laybarerecordings @pride_management and @chaostheorymusic for putting together this incredible feat of a festival. Thank you to @ourblackheart for hosting the event. Thank you to every single person who came along 🖤xxx

EPIC, PHENOMENAL, UNREAL VIBES - one for the books!
It’s exactly one week ago that we celebrated the first edition of Lay Bare Fest at @ourblackheart in London!

Almost 13 years ago, I started @laybarerecordings as an opportunity for upcoming, creative musicians to lay bare their tunes, craft, and art. Music that deserves to be heard and seen.
And now… the very first Lay Bare Fest is a fact. A stage for bands that must be out there, sending their frequencies across borders.

Thank you so much to @rosyfinchband @taz_corona_music @coltaine @theanswerliesintheblackvoid @mrsfrighthouse @ratsanddaggers @kulkband @weareallforlorn you made this debut unforgettable.

🙏 Without the enormous help, advice and work of both @pride_management Alan Pride, Lay Bare’s key connector, to-go person in the UK and @kunalsinghalmusic of @chaostheorymusic it’s true that Lay Bare Fest would not have happened, your trust and undying support have been a foundation from the very beginning! And not to forget Pieter Hendriks | @soothsayer_orchestra &Jasper | @aandacht. Amazing job on design and graphics. Without you all Lay Bare Fest would never have come to life.
Also a massive thanks to Mel and Yolandi, the best merch crew ever, and ofcourse Matt and Ryan of The Black Heart for having us 🖤

📸 Deep gratitude to @nessiesaurusmeh @freaksandgigsphotographie @magda_campagne Jack Tillmanns, @danielkilgus & @bt7019 for capturing the magic so beautifully.

A heartfelt thank-you as well to Ben and Chloe at @ravenrecords_camden for hosting the Mrs Frighthouse album playthrough + Taz Corona acoustic set. You are more than a record shop - you’re so inspiring and a huge example to me! With Raven Records you created a special & safe space! 🖤

The biggest shout-out goes to the fans. 🫵🏼YOU came out, filled the room, and gave the support needed to make this a full house. 🫵🏼YOU made the energy unforgettable. A special nod to the Dutchies @karin_correia_castilho @vergunst Jack, @maurice_custers66 Caro & @erikaalbers who crossed the pond to celebrate with me! 🤘🏼✨

This is just the beginning. Onward we go! ❤️‍🔥
Much Love, Désirée 🖤

Thank you so much to @zuzx__ of @out.of.rage.network for your lovely review of Solitude Over Control! Your words moved us both to tears. 🖤

You can read the full review at https://www.outofrage.net/post/review-mrs-frighthouse-solitude-over-control or by following the link in our bio.

It’s not easy material to perform live or release into the world but its responses like this, with the understanding and care in the words of your review, that make us feel so proud to do what we do. Thank you. 🖤 Xxx

If you want to hear the album in full we have a few things coming up!

Tonight (25th) we are hosting a free online @bandcamp listening party at 8pm! You can join via the link in our bio from 7:30pm. We’ll be listening along with you and can answer your questions and share some special insights into the album and each track.

Tomorrow (26th) not only is Solitude Over Control released into the world, but we’ll be at the fabulous @ravenrecords_camden in London at 5pm for an album playthrough and signing. We’ll be joined by the wonderful @taz_corona_music who will be treating us all to a beautiful acoustic performance.
