Happy new year y’all.

I can’t believe all this shit happened this year:

Met carol, cast recording, a drama desk, took my sis to the critics choice, then won w/ Hannah, hosted glaad, more shrinking, texted the goat, took Ryan to the emmys, shared it with my cast, celebrated @boomboomhiller w the gays, pride plays, posed for mary, wore my First Lady, Oh Mary indeed, saw the light of Richard, got plastered w Richard, Oh Richard, one last vacay with dear sweet Kinley , and still super speeding on @krapopolis

Late to post our June wrap up, but don’t let that make you think that it wasn’t a great month for theater. June was a filled with beautiful stories of love and friendship that we still can’t stop thinking about it.

1 - We opened Pride Month with the stunning @wearegatheredplay at @arenastage. This show made us laugh and cry and generally just blew us away.
2 - Paradise Blue at @studiotheatre was an intimate and immersive show that made us feel like we were in the center of the action.
3 - We love getting to see a reading of any new work and were glad to see Pony during @prideplays at @woollymammothtc.
4 - King James at @roundhousetheatre was a beautifully portrayed and fascinating exploration of male friendship that kept us guessing.
5 - We finally make it the redone space at @folgerlibrary to see the hilarious Twelfth Night.
6 - Headed out to Virginia to see @jasonrobertbrownstagram perform and left even more in love with his music.
7 - Saw @lesmizus (for the first time for one of us) and remembered there is nothing quite like a well done classic.
8 - Rounded out the month with Frankenstein at @shakespeareindc and were blown away by the set and the actors.

July is already off to an incredible start!

Proscenium is a proud sponsor of PRIDE PLAYS 2025, a celebration of queer stories, featuring performances and programming free and open to the public. As funding is cut on a national level, smaller arts organizations need support more than ever.

God won’t give up on Cecilia Gentili. Unfortunately, neither will the devil. Follow a young trans girl as she navigates the hilarity of rural Argentina in the 1970’s. Part stand-up, part camp, and (almost) all true, Cecilia Gentili’s RED INK is an irreverent romp in the search for faith while trans.
