I sat down with @VoyageATL to talk about the journey of building @Prime_Vice and how I landed here in Kennesaw.

People usually see the “Professor” or the “Studio Owner,” but they don’t always see the “not-so-smooth road” it took to get here.

In 2018, TPP believed in a vision: that comics could elevate diverse voices and transform communities. That belief helped launch Prime Vice Studios' Fresh Voices Comic Creator Workshop in Metro-Atlanta.

Today, that workshop has grown into the Fresh Voices© curriculum, now distributed worldwide, empowering anyone to develop their stories from concept to creation through sequential art.

One grant. One act of trust. A global impact.

For the past 3 years I’ve made art donations to @forthekidatl for their silent auction which raises money to supply kids with school supplies & gifts for Christmas.

This year @syndicatecomicshop sponsored these blank sketch covers for artists to illustrate then donate to the cause. This is the first time I am donating more than just my own art.

Checkout the awesome art from local talent! Can you guess which one I did🤭?

As part of the Lung Girl Day on November 15, this is another commission that I worked on to help raise funds for lung transplant patients. My task was to depict the Black Panther character, Killmonger, creatively and explore how I can manipulate color to add more to his background in Wakanda and elements that symbolize him. Right next to him, I further aimed to add symbolism through his leopard as seen in Earth-616 version from the older comics. I strive to continue working with @prime_vice and @sid_foundation so that I can gain more experience through their comic book workshops and events at the Syndicate Comics Shop (November 2025).

I had a wonderful time moderating the “Creative Community Panel” at the Spelman Diversity Summit last month. 🤗

I have one of the most creative communities full of brilliant minds! I’m so glad they said yes to sharing their strategies, examples, and advice. There was over 50yrs of educational experience on that stage.

I’m grateful 💚✨
