Photo dump from this past weekend at the International Fly Tying Symposium and some recent work in the tying room.

It was a great weekend seeing friends both new and old, discussing fly tying and fly fishing, having both my children be part of it with Leah helping me set up the table Friday night while meeting Rich, Christina, Freddy, Fritz, Shawn, Matt and Dosha while Parker visiting me Saturday during the show!
Little Man was given a tying kit by the High Guys and stated “ Dad isn’t getting this” 😂

I was able to meet with a bunch of tyers that I have only interacted with over social media and spend time at their tables admiring the various spectrum of flies being tied. Freddy, Daniel, Justin and Mike, it was a pleasure! 👊🏻

Caught up with two wickedly talented artists Matt and James. Totally blown away by their craft and even picked up a piece of artwork to add to the tying room!

Hunted down some more vintage supplies(hooks) and a few other items of interest for my personal collection thanks to John Shaner.

Had some time to shoot the breeze with Safet on Sunday and exchange some flies while discussing some new ideas. Always a pleasure seeing him at the shows!

I became a Pro Staff member of Sally Hansen thanks to Lou, 😂 On a serious note, it was great to catch up with him.

This past year was a difficult one for me and tying took a back seat but man do I feel recharged after this weekend! Some cool stuff in the works for 2025 and really excited about a potential contribution to a magazine, while being invited to a Long Island Tying show in March and hopefully Edison and Lancaster.

I've made the switch to Smallmouth for the end of the summer and all of the fall season! Right now is still a great time to be throwing some poppers, big and small. If you want to get out, I have plenty of room towards the end of September and all of October! Let's go fish! #oklahomaflycompany #okflyco #bestbugsinoklahoma

As my season comes to an end for 2020 I’m going through my camera roll reminiscing on time with friends new and old.

Thinking about how lucky I am to be able to share fishing experiences with anglers of all skill levels. The things I get to teach and the things I get to learn.

All the road miles, river miles, windy lakes, mountain lakes, back water sloughs, hike ins and float outs.

The back country camping, breakfast on the @jetboil, dinner on the fire, sleeping in wild places and all the “Fish On!” faces.

I love every piece of it.

Thank you to everyone that allows me to share time on the water with them and others.

I’m already looking forward to next season.

My drag it over gravel, slide it under the fence, push it over the log jam, toss it off the bridge, send it when you probably shouldn’t ride.
