5 quick cues that can make a BIG difference 👇

1️⃣ KNEES OVER TOES, SHOULDERS OVER KNEES.
This keeps you in a balanced stance ready to move and prepares your platform to direct the ball forward.

2️⃣ GET LOW.
Serve Receive → Low enough to touch a volleyball. I like this measurement because for serve receive you need to be low enough for the pass but comfortable enough you’re able to make quick movements.

Defense → Low enough to touch the ground. For defense, the ball is traveling at more of a declining angle, so you naturally want a lower starting point which allows you to push off from the floor for more explosive movements.

3️⃣ ARMS AWAY FROM YOUR BODY.
Extend your platform out in front—don’t let it get trapped against you.

4️⃣ CHEST FORWARD. HIPS BACK.
Think athletic stance, not a squat…. volleyball players actually have a reputation in the weight room for our squatting form 🫣

5️⃣ DEEP PASS? DROP A LEG BACK.
Create a triangle between your platform + stance to give yourself space to control the ball.

Save this for your next practice 🏐
