Ancestral threads 2026 ✨

A week ago, my friend Shalom and I had our first exhibition, and it was everything and more. Seeing this vision that we planned for over a year finally come to life was incredibly special and I’m so grateful 🥹❤️. Biggg thanks to our friendsss who were the subject of these images, @percyonthenet for curating this project, @jayucanada for facilitating the space and every single one of you that spread the word or supported us along the way!! 🥰🥰❤️

Himba-inspired braids 🤎

Traditionally worn by women and girls of the Himba tribe in northern Namibia. These braids carry deep cultural meaning indicating age, marital status and social role. The signature red tone comes from otjize (a mixture of butterfat and ochre).

I didn’t use the traditional otjize haha but created my own interpretation using kinky hair from @clorebeauty ✨⭐️
