A day I’ll never forget. From attending my first convention to being able to perform at Anime NYC Idol Fest as a newbie cosplayer, I’m so grateful for everyone who helped make it all happen together! 💕✨

In middle school, my very first Halloween cosplay was Hatsune Miku. I was made fun of for cosplaying her, but now I can proudly express my love for the character I’ve been obsessed with for so many years.

I always dreamed of going to a convention. This year, I finally made that dream into reality. I attended my first convention surrounded by people who deeply appreciate the same things I do. My younger self would never have believed this would be possible.

I’m so grateful for all the wonderful people I’ve met this year and had the privilege to walk this path with, as well as finally feeling free to embrace what I love. 🩷🩵🩷

This post isn’t about me. This is about the wonderful people that made AnimeNYC for me. A lot of these people I met just this year, some I met a couple of months ago and some I met on the day of the con! But they all did one thing, they showed up. That itself meant the absolute world to me ☺️ To my Z-Team, Eclip5e⭐️ and everyone else I had the privilege to spend time with at AnimeNYC…Thank you ❤️

I can’t believe myself of how proud I am to make this cosplay come to life ….. I am Ai Hoshino !!!!! It’s been a long process but I enjoyed every minute of making her come to life. Every research, every angle, 1 to 1, from 2D to 2.5D ❤️😘⭐️🤩 yayyyyyy
