The new Steve Madden Flagship in Times Square! 🖤✨ This project marks a huge milestone for Ringo Studio, bringing our signature bold and immersive retail approach to one of the most iconic intersections in the world and for a brand that is so deeply rooted in the essense of New York. Seeing our design come to life here is surreal and I couldn’t be more proud of our team and collaborators for the creativity, problem-solving, and crazy dedication that went into making it happen. The new flagship channels the rebellious energy, youthful spirit, and unapologetic confidence that define Steve Madden, blending nostalgia with a fresh, dynamic experience. 🤓👠A little history lesson: Steve Madden founded his company in 1990 with just $1,100, selling shoes out of the trunk of his car to Manhattan stores. His first big hit, the Mary Lou (a twist on the classic Mary Jane shoe), quickly caught the attention of fashion designers. By 1993, he opened his first retail store and took the company public. Fast forward to 2001, he launched a men’s collection, and by 2005, Steve Madden had opened his 100th store in the U.S. and began expanding globally. From car trunks to Times Square, it’s been a wild ride!
