OPENER: EMILY WHITE is a quiet force – a singer, songwriter  and trained guitarist who stands out “conspicuously from the pack… with her hushed, preternaturally haunting vocal delivery” (Connect  Savannah). Her potent images and dynamic melodies are things you  hold onto, like (to quote one of her lyrics) “a stone in your pocket  rubbed smooth.” Her fifth album Songs You Didn’t Know I Wrote  About You (2023) is a collection of songs she wrote to people from  all different points in her life—unread musical letters to friends,  mentors, fellow songwriters, old loves, and maybe even you. Most  importantly, none of the songs’ subjects know that she’s written  about them. As a result, all thirteen tracks are unflinching and  instantly relatable. This Sunday! We are so excited to be hosting a special DOUBLE performance day this weekend with a daytime concert (1-3pm) featuring Sue Fink for a special CD release show with an opening performance by The Sweet Maries! HEADLINER- SUE FINK: Chicago singer/songwriter Sue Fink has been entertaining audiences since 2001 with her unique perspective on the world. Now she’s releasing her fourth full-length album, Leaves of Summertime. Sue will be accompanied John Abbey (bass/guitar), who also recorded and produced this album; Brian Wilkie (pedal steel guitar); and Meg Thomas (drums/percussion). OPENER- THE SWEET MARIES: Amy Shoemaker and Susie Lofton—are a harmony forward, female fronted singer-songwriter acoustic band that plays original songs and select covers from the ’60s and ’70s. The genres touched upon include Americana, Gospel, Folk, Jazz and Rock. Great original songwriting, gorgeous harmony, and loads of power-stance attitude. This week I’m bringing back the Long Boy Sloppy Joe, it’s just like a regular sloppy Joe, but longer. And the Chili Butter Burger is coming back to but this time with Fresh Roasted Hatch chilis, and Muenster cheese (mostly because it sounds like Monster cheese)

Evanston is a great choice for a fall day outside of the city. It’s a 15-minute trip on the Metra and easily walkable or bikeable if you prefer. They have DIVVY bikes, or you can take your bike on the Metra. We enjoyed a relaxing day of shopping and browsing through their eclectic mix of shops. There were lots of opportunities to purchase original art and handmade goods from local artists. Menu for Oct 5 Burger night 430 - 9ish . New sandwich this week is The Meatloaf. All beef meatloaf, Swiss cheese, pickles, sautéed mushrooms, @penzey_spices northwoods seasoning on a potato roll. .
