The studio was a hive of activity today with everyone finishing their book works ! Beautiful end results each reflecting a personal response to mapping the landscape. Such sensitive and thoughtful work 💙💙💙💙💙💙💙 A big thank you to @eleanor_k_white for inviting me to @bridge_house_art and to @karenprenticeart and @janbreckenridge for all their support both in the studio and with delicious lunches.

✨ARTIST REVEAL✨ Can you believe it? Yet another amazing local artist taking part in the live art-making exhibition for The Art of Being Human! Introducing... Yasmin Ali 🌟 A bit about Yasmin... "I find artmaking as a process very therapeutic and have engaged in outpatient art therapy sessions in the past. I enjoy the process and pushing the limits of the chosen medium more than the finished piece. I currently practice ceramics, mainly experimenting with surface pattern and texture, and I am learning techniques with watercolour and inks. I have completed several courses in printmaking, some very specialised, such as different types of etching which produce work with a Fine Art feel. In the past two years I am increasingly experimenting with low cost and low tech means of producing art, and techniques which I can teach to all ages. I have an art school education as well as vocational training as an Early Years Practitioner. I currently combine sessional work with a range of ages and abilities, in visual arts and storytelling, and I am currently furthering my training and experience working with adults and children with disabilities, sometimes on a 1-to-1 basis. I find working with others also very rewarding and contributing to my wellbeing. I regard creativity, particularly creating visual art as an essential part of self-care." You can find Yasmin on her printmaking and teaching platform, Print + Press at @print_pluspress or at @yourfriendyaz So get yourself to @leitharches on Sunday 23rd July to see Yasmin and all the other AMAZING local artists create their work LIVE and be inspired by their process 🌟 Link in bio for more info, join us over on the facebook event to be first to hear all the exciting updates ✨️
