“If life doesn’t hand you what you think you deserve, go create it yourself” - Sudha Sai, DIY Queen

The past year has been the driver of the most growth, change, and betterment. All because of… a song? It’s not that simple, but also… yes!

There’s something so uniquely meaningful when we spend our time choosing to expand ourselves via a medium that we adore, vs being forced to change via media we kind of hate. Because life is going to force us to learn and change regardless.

PHOENIX has been that passion project that also put me to work. Because I knew I wanted this song to speak to us girls. For us to SEE our power. To realize that most of the time we are the ones putting ourselves in that hole we think we are trapped in.

And how do you write about being confident when you’re not yet feeling confident yourself? There was a lot of growing and the pain that comes with it.

And guess what? We DON’T settle for silver just because we would have to wait for gold. We don’t take crap just because it’s all that’s there. We are queens, we are powerful, and if the future we want is not handed to us, WE CREATE IT.

Let’s go fly like the beautiful Phoenixes we become.

It gets chaotic behind the scenes of a music video shoot, and very basic things don’t go to plan. What do we do? We over prepare, and we get creative.

Buy me a drink and I’ll tell you how much we had to improvise… but the team was AMAZING throughout, and they never had to see me crash out after all.

Stick around, you’re about to hear some insanely high vibe tunes, and catch more of the journey unfold. Stay with me, the best is yet to come ♥️💪🏽

Let’s rise, Phoenix.

There’s something really special coming your way. This isn’t just a piece of art, it’s an experience. It changed me, and I hope it changes you too.

This project is different than the types of things you see on social media these days.

Why?

Because every piece of promo for this song, every idea, every detail, every adjustment, every choice in this project was made intentionally, by me, or by another human I involved in my team.

Not one edit or choice was made by AI. It took me a full year from start to finish, and endless hours editing these promo clips you see today. But it’s a labor of love and I have never been more proud to display my hard work and the efforts of real friends and collaborators who went out of their way to do their best for this.

I am so grateful, and I will always give you my genuine work because… why else are we even doing this?

Let’s rise, Phoenix.
