My first “L” in this running thing even though you technically can’t lose. I hold myself to high standards in most things I do, and with that comes a constant theme of disregarding successes and fixating on failures.

But on the other hand, it’s hard to not realise that this is part of something bigger than me and a number on a clock. I just ran a race through my home city, surrounded by dozens of my friends and family taking part alongside me, with money raised for those less fortunate than us.

11 months ago, I started running with one goal in mind: A sub-3 marathon in under a year. To prove that limits are usually self-made.

Most people overestimate talent and underestimate how far consistency can distort reality.

The support out there was a reminder of why London is the greatest city in the world ☝️

I think it’s time to hang the boots up.
