Destination Wedding Advice (from a freshly married bride 🤍✨)

• Pack a “Day-Of Bag.”
Throw in everything you might need… touch-ups, perfume, tape, deodorant, blotting powder, mints, extra shoes.. future you will thank you. Designate one bridesmaid to be responsible for this bag.

• If you have an outfit change… take LOTS of photos in your first dress. 👰🏼‍♀️ Trust me, the day flies. Get the shots before you switch. (We had a photo booth and I made sure to do this before changing) @picme_photobooth

• Designate one bridesmaid as the “Keepsake Queen.”
Have her hold onto important little things: your Bride + Groom menus, a single flower from your bouquet, vow books, your champagne cork, handkerchief, anything sentimental.

• Hire. A. Planner. Period.
We told our planner: “We want to be guests at our own wedding.” Best decision we made. @mango_weddings 🙏🏼

• Leave a lot of “get ready” time in the morning.
Hair, makeup, content shots, Reels/TikToks with the girls… it all takes longer than you think. Slow mornings = stress-free brides.

• EAT. Seriously. Eat breakfast. Eat a snack. Drink water. Eat again. Practice your vows with your girls… then eat again. A fed bride is a happy bride. At least I was 😎

• Choreographed first dance = 10000% recommend.
Not only is it a moment on the dance floor, but taking lessons together becomes a romantic date night during the planning chaos. It keeps the spark alive.

• Fireworks + Sparklers = instant magic.
One of the biggest hits at our wedding. They make your photos and videos look like a movie. @pyrotechmx

• Be creative with your guest books.
From video guestbooks to audio messages, Polaroids, postcards, wine-bottle notes, or even a message-in-a-bottle.. choose something guests will enjoy signing! Make your guestbook personal. A traditional book usually ends up in a closet collecting dust.

We had guests sign my husband’s racing helmet and a mini F1 special edition 150th anniversary tire (wedding gift) because we both love cars/racing -and fun fact, we both work in racing so this was really special to us. 🏁🤍
