As 2025 fades into the quiet of December, I find myself sitting here with a heart that feels too full and somehow still a little empty all at once. This year gave me more than I deserved and took pieces I wasn’t ready to let go of.
I laughed until my ribs hurt around tables crowded with the family I’ll never stop needing—those same people who held me when the nights got heavy and the tears came without warning.
I watched my friends become the kind of home distance can’t touch; late-night calls, random voice notes, hugs that lasted long enough to say everything we couldn’t fit into words. You know who you are. Thank you for staying. Some memories still ache when I touch them—goodbyes that came too soon, moments I wish I could live in forever, the quiet realization that people and seasons change even when we beg them not to. I carry those softly now, like pressed flowers in a book I’m scared to open too often. And then there were the new chapters I never saw coming. A hand that reached for mine when I wasn’t looking. Eyes that felt like coming home on the very first glance. Someone who made ordinary days feel like plot twists in the best possible way. I’m still learning how to say “thank you” for that without sounding like I’m waiting for the other shoe to drop—because for the first time in a long time, I’m not. So here’s to the year that broke me open and somehow filled the cracks with light.
To the ones who stayed, the ones who couldn’t, and the ones who showed up exactly when I needed them most. I’m grateful.
I’m tender.
I’m ready to love 2026 with everything this year taught me. See you on the other side. 🕊️
