92 hours. 3 ½ hours of sleep. 240 miles.

The word that keeps coming to mind after this is inspiring.

240 miles is absolutely incredible. 240 miles is not something that is given. It’s earned.

This isn’t about the miles. It’s about the why.

Brock and I get asked all the time, “Why run that long?” Our reason is simple, to come back better.

Brock and I are firm believers that the trees that touch heaven also have roots that touch hell. If you want to be able to help people with their darkness, you need to have a relationship with yours.

Brock spent 92 hours in his darkness. Talking to himself. Problem-solving. Taking action.

We were raising money for first responders who suffer from post-traumatic stress disorder. This is very near and dear to our hearts, and it was a cause we were confident in supporting.

Brock’s family came and paced and crewed him. We will never forget the people who went out of their way, showed up, and supported us at all hours. We are so lucky to have the support and love that we do. It truly would not have happened without our team.

We want everyone to go home better. We want better husbands. Better fathers. Better wives. Better mothers. Better homes for kids.

We want good, loving homes where everyone thrives.

Brock can run for a very long time. He’s an incredible athlete; that’s been made very clear. But he doesn’t want it to ever go to waste. It can’t stop at the finish line. It needs to come home.

Me, Summit, and Koda receive the fruits of his labor. He comes home better.

Our home is full of life, excitement, and love because he brings his lessons home to us. We all learn from him. We are all inspired by him. I come home better because of him. My boys get a better mom.

I always knew he had it in him. I believe Brock is capable of anything. I feel so special to be loved by him.

To everyone who sent messages, texts, and calls, we are lost for words. The support has been nothing short of overwhelming. We have read it all.

Thank you. Thank you from the bottom of our hearts.

This is just the beginning. We’ve got work to do. 💕

Come back better. ✨

Moments from running 155 miles at the Moab 240 and then the rest on my own route to finish the full 240 miles I came out here to finish

My race. My miles. My why.
