just wanted to give a huge shoutout to an ORS community member who just dropped one of the smoothest projects out of the netherlands right now. shoutout kromow man 🇳🇱💛

we’ve had the pleasure of covering kromow plenty of times on the page before and now with the release of his latest project, “foreign standard,” we had to once again give him his flowers. tracks like “against all odds” are just so energetic and hyped up that you can’t help but nod your head along. he almost has a sort of carti timbre to his sound on this track especially with how deep and full his voice is

you can really hear that full vocal quality on other tracks like “barely see.” it’s so cool to look back on kromow’s career and realize that he started as a producer first. the fact that he produced practically all of this album on his own and he has this incredible voice is really just unfair. this track shows off a lot more of his melodic side and at the end i swear it felt like i was floating

my favorite track on the project has to be his collaboration with cochise on “spurs.” cochise and kromow are just such a great pairing. kromow has that deep more serious tone while cochise has a little bit more autotuned tenor quality about his voice. cochise’s lyrics about artists like cardi b and kevin gates were so out of pocket and had me crying dawg. the production on this track is just so crisp man. kromow’s drum selection is always on point man

kromow’s latest project “foreign standard” is just another evolution for the amsterdam based artist to build even further upon. what do y’all think? did you enjoy the cochise feature? where does kromow rank your favorite underground rapper/producer’s list? lmk below <3
