Today we get to know 30UNDER30's Vincent Tsang, a dedicated industrial designer who takes great care and pride in his work at @vertdesignstudio in Sydney. "The privilege to be able to work on industrial design projects is that the work has the potential to impact a lot of people as it becomes mass-produced and sold," he says. We are pleased to announce that Session Buddy is now available on Kickstarter. Our team had the privilege of collaborating with Julian, a guitar enthusiast who recognised an opportunity to enhance his playing experience. Session Buddy provides a quick and easy solution for adjusting your guitar strap between standing and sitting positions while maintaining proper posture. Our design seamlessly integrates with your existing strap, eliminating the need to purchase a new one or additional hardware. We carefully considered weight distribution in the guitar and underwent extensive prototyping to ensure optimal functionality. Our goal was to create a simple yet effective solution that also pays homage to the language of guitar hardware. As noted in the product's shape, inspired by the pick, we aimed to minimise the use of technology and instead focus on providing a practical and elegant design that appeals to a broad range of users. You can support Julian and his vision for @sessionbuddyco by signing up on Kickstarter! Link in Session Buddy bio.

Forcite Smart Helmet Stands @forcitehelmets exists to provide a safer, more dynamic motorcycling experience, seamlessly adapting new technologies through their Smart Helmet range. We are proud to have collaborated with @forcitehelmets on the design of their retail helmet stand that highlights the key features of their Smart Helmets and captures their brand essence. Our intention was to present the smart helmet in a sensible and realistic way, suitable for multiple contexts, and providing it a well-deserved pedestal. Taking inspiration from motorcycles, the sand-cast form boasts heavy-duty elements that align with Forcite's values. To create an iconic look that sets Forcite apart, we used a handlebar as a mount for the device that pairs with the smart helmet. The contrast of aluminum and carbon fiber materials, along with sleek linear lines, adds a touch of sophistication to the display. The stands are manufactured locally in Sydney, Australia.
