So this is a random one for you guys but I’ve actually been thinking about this for a while now. I still LOVE my microcement walls and, considering all the negativity they’ve had on Instagram, they’re still in amazing condition. But honestly, I think so much of it comes down to the brand and materials you use. This was my first major room design and at the time, marble really wasn’t on my radar. That all changed when I started working on the downstairs and now I feel like the bathroom doesn’t quite tie in with the rest of my home as much as it used to. I’m still yet to add the flush push button, mainly because I couldn’t commit to it knowing it would be permanent. I didn’t want to risk damaging the microcement and then changing my mind later. Don’t get me wrong, have zero regrets about choosing microcement and I definitely don’t want to rip it all out. Instead, I’ve been thinking about how I can give the room a little refresh, hide away some of the products under the vanity and bring in more marble and wood tones without damaging the microcement. So… now for the debate; this is the bathroom as it looks currently, swipe to see what it could like like x This is still my bathroom but with a new vanity and marble. (The vanity is going to be less wide tbh and may not have a marble backsplash) What’s your thoughts? We won’t be starting on this until next year as want to get the utility/shower room reno moving but you never know with us!

It starts like this for a reason. If you want a truly seamless microcement bathroom, the base needs to be built to work with the finish. Otherwise… you’re relying on a surface that wasn’t designed with microcement compatibility in mind. Our Resin Rock baths are. Pre-primed. Textured. Ready to bond properly with microcement. So you’re not dealing with peeling, lifting, or failures down the line. Just a beautiful seamless bath that stand the test of time. @magriwilliams expertly curate calm inside this Victorian terrace with a palette of varying neutral tones and textures. Beyond the interior refurbishment, the project also entailed the design and implementation of a rear extension to improve flow and spatial connectivity. Mimicking the minimalist nature of the interior, the new addition is intentionally unfussy, its full-width bulk stretching the floor-plan out into the garden. Floor-to-ceiling sliding glass doors enclose this form, inviting light and shadow deep into the plan to animate the interior elevations washed in a mottled microcement.
