System frequencies to make you dance 👽 ⁣⁣

POSTS STORIES REELS TAGGED

Exactly 1 year ago, I played at my favourite Berlin venue @ohmberlin as a resident of @greenroomberlin.

This set is crystallised in my memory for all that it represents. As much as I was looking forward to this milestone, I arrived at the club heartbroken and distraught, not knowing how I would be able to perform. This night meant so much to me, and yet my mind was elsewhere. Two days later, I would have had to put my beloved cat of 15 years to sleep due to cancer. A part of me thought about staying in, as every precious minute away from him made me felt like agony. In the end, I took a chance and showed up. I thought that Fidel would have wanted me to do what I love, after months of working hard with the crew on putting this event together. I’m very happy I did. I dedicate this set to him.

Getting behind the decks ended up being a necessary respite from my anticipatory grief. I channelled my sadness into joy, and was really happy seeing faces light up on the dancefloor. Being there, dancing and surrounded by friends and our community, was so uplifting and healing. Listening back, I’m very happy about how this set turned out. Lots of punchy low end bass, made even crispier with @carl0g_420’s touch on mixing. Link in the usual place 🎧

Thank you to OHM and everyone involved - my GR crew, my friends and all the people who came and made the night special. Even though we’re taking an indefinite break with Green Room (a project close to my heart over the last few years as co-organizer and resident) this is a memory that will stay with me for a very long time 💚✨

home session 001. new mix out.

lately i’ve been thinking less about genres and more about the feeling each track leaves behind.

this mix was built around that idea. a space to get lost in your thoughts and let the music take you somewhere between uk bass, dub techno, broken rhythms and immersive electronics.

this is a journey through the sounds i’ve been carrying with me in the past months.

tracklist in comment. link in bio.

Had the pleasure of of featuring on one of @programmldn tracks for their forthcoming @nima__ldn LP

We met through a mutual creative @louisunseen (it’s nice when ppl share the luv rather than gatekeep so big up Louis) & we slapped this one together last summer I think.

They had a launch party but unfortunately due to ill health I had to miss out, but my healths better for now and I found the single online today so go & stream it up if this sort of thing floats your boat ⛴️

@subfmradio archive no 216 is now up on my Soundcloud (link in the usual place).

It’s me in hour one with the usual mix from 125-160bpm. The second hour is a HEAVY forward thinking 140 bpm guest mix by Cärol from Tartu / Estonia. Top notch selector - as she also proved last weekend when we both played in Tallinn for the @letmejuke crew. Be sure to check out the mix, follow her on Insta and Soundcloud and go book her!!
