Yesterday, I had the opportunity to join an incredible group of founders, executives, investors, and operators at the @airwallex Executive Dinner hosted at Blue Bovine by @_flo100. What stood out most wasn’t the discussion around today’s challenges, it was the focus on tomorrow’s opportunities. Three themes dominated the room: 📈 The evolution of venture capital and the future of Canadian business infrastructure. 🤖 The rise of Agentic AI and how intelligent systems are transforming operations faster than most organizations realize. 🇨🇦 The reality facing Canadian founders as they navigate growth in a more challenging economic environment. One thing became clear: The next decade will reward adaptability. The companies that embrace innovation, build strong financial foundations, and leverage technology strategically will separate themselves from the rest. Thank you to Airwallex & Flo100, the speakers, and everyone in attendance for an evening of meaningful conversations and valuable insights. What trend do you believe will have the biggest impact on Canadian businesses over the next 10 years?

What if the biggest problem in financial services isn’t the advice… it’s the fact that nobody is talking to each other? For years, I’ve watched business owners and families do what they were told was the “right” thing. They hired an accountant. Then a financial planner. Then an insurance advisor. Then a mortgage broker. Then a lawyer. Everyone was competent. Everyone was doing their job. But there was one problem: Nobody was looking at the full picture. A tax decision was made without considering investments. An insurance policy was purchased without considering estate planning. A mortgage decision was made without considering long-term wealth goals. Each advisor was solving their own piece of the puzzle. Nobody was assembling the puzzle. That’s when I realized something: Your money doesn’t live in silos. Every financial decision affects another. Tax impacts investing. Investing impacts retirement. Insurance impacts estate planning. Financing impacts cash flow. Business decisions impact personal wealth. Everything is connected. So why are financial services still fragmented? Why should a business owner have to navigate five different firms, repeat the same story five different times, and hope everyone is aligned? I believe the future looks different. I believe the future is integration. One relationship. One team. One strategy. One coordinated ecosystem. That’s the vision behind Progress Group. We’re building what I call Canada’s first Financial Services Shopping Mall, a place where accounting, tax, bookkeeping, wealth planning, insurance, mortgages, business advisory, and estate planning work together under one roof. Not because it’s convenient. Because it’s smarter. Because real wealth is built when every financial decision works toward the same objective. This isn’t about adding more services. It’s about creating better outcomes. And we’re only getting started. 👇 I’d love to hear your perspective: What’s the most frustrating part about dealing with traditional financial services today? Or send me a DM with “FUTURE” if you’d like to learn how an integrated financial strategy could help you or your business.

The biggest misconception about AI is that it’s a technology conversation. It isn’t. It’s a business conversation. Last week at Toronto Tech Week, I spent time speaking with founders, operators, investors, and technology leaders who are all asking the same question: “How do we stay competitive over the next 5–10 years?” The answer wasn’t another software subscription. It wasn’t another dashboard. And it definitely wasn’t replacing people. The companies moving fastest are building systems that allow their teams to spend less time on repetitive work and more time on high-value decisions. That’s exactly what we’re doing at Progress Group. We’re building a digital workforce powered by specialized AI agents designed to support our team across accounting, tax, insurance, wealth management, mortgages, financial planning, and business advisory. Not to replace expertise. To amplify it. Imagine having hundreds of specialized digital workers operating behind the scenes: ✔️ Gathering information ✔️ Identifying opportunities ✔️ Monitoring risks ✔️ Preparing insights ✔️ Supporting client service ✔️ Working around the clock So our advisors can focus on what matters most: Building relationships. Providing strategy. Helping clients make better decisions. The future doesn’t belong to businesses with the most employees. It belongs to businesses that combine great people with intelligent systems. That’s the direction we’re heading. And we’re just getting started. If you’re a business owner, entrepreneur, or executive, the question isn’t whether AI will impact your industry. The question is whether you’ll be leading the change or reacting to it. 📩 DM me “AI” if you’d like to see how we’re building our digital workforce and how you can apply similar strategies inside your business.

🧊 ICEMAN = The CRA?? 👀🥶 The CRA doesn’t care how hard you worked for your money. They care whether your structure makes sense. That’s the part most entrepreneurs don’t realize until it’s too late. I’ve watched business owners build companies for 10+ years… Only to lose sleep over one letter in the mail. Not because they were criminals. Not because they were trying to “hide” money. But because nobody taught them how to properly structure growth. And here’s the reality: The higher you climb, the more visible you become. More revenue = more attention. More transactions = more scrutiny. More success = more responsibility. People think tax planning is something you do AFTER you make money. Wrong. Real wealth is built by creating protection BEFORE problems happen. Because once the CRA starts asking questions: • Penalties compound fast • Accounts can freeze • Reassessments can go back years • Stress enters your business, your family, and your peace of mind And the worst part? Most of it could have been avoided with proper planning from the beginning. That’s why I always say: Tax isn’t just a filing. It’s a strategy. It’s structure. It’s protection. The people building real generational wealth don’t wait for problems to appear. They prepare before the storm hits. If you’re an entrepreneur, incorporated professional, investor, or high-income earner…this is the season to tighten your structure before the CRA tightens it for you. 📥 DM me “TAX” if you want to build a stronger financial structure and protect what you’re working so hard to build.

🧊🥶“Drake called it ICEMAN. But in business… the CRA’s been playing that role for years.” Most founders don’t realize they’re already being watched long before an audit letter ever lands on their desk. The problem isn’t usually one massive mistake. It’s the small things that quietly pile up over time: • Cash deposits with no paper trail • Write-offs that don’t match reported income • HST inconsistencies • Poor incorporation structures • No documented defense behind deductions • No real tax strategy at all And by the time most business owners react…the interest is already compounding. That’s the part nobody talks about. Most accountants are trained to file your taxes. Very few are trained to protect the structure behind your business. That’s the difference. At Progress Group, we built an integrated financial model where accounting, tax planning, wealth management, insurance, mortgages, and fractional CFO strategy all work together. Not in silos. Not reactively. Strategically. Because surviving an audit is one thing. Preventing the problem before it happens? That’s a completely different level of planning. The “ICEMAN” era isn’t just music hype. It’s a reminder that pressure exposes weak systems. And this year, a lot of business owners are about to find out whether their financial structure was actually built to survive scrutiny. The ice storm is coming for someone. Make sure it’s not you. DM me “ICEMAN” and I’ll personally review your current structure and show you where the risks, leaks, and missed opportunities are hiding. This isn’t just accounting. This is financial defense.

👀 Most people think I left PwC for freedom. That’s not why I left. I left because I saw something most people inside the system never question: The system itself is broken. Entrepreneurs weren’t losing money because they lacked intelligence, effort, or opportunity. They were losing because every advisor they worked with operated in isolation. One for tax. One for accounting. One for real estate. One for wealth. No coordination or strategy leaving little room for accountability. Just fragmented advice… stitched together at the expense of the client. So I walked away from a career people spend decades chasing to build something that didn’t exist: A firm where every financial decision is connected. A model where strategy comes before compliance. A system where the advisor thinks like an operator, not just a filer. 10 years later: $50M+ raised across 30+ projects. Companies scaled from startup to exit. Clients operating across multiple countries. Not because we were the cheapest. Because we were the most aligned. If you’re building something serious, you don’t need more advisors. You need the right structure behind every decision you make. That’s the difference between making money… and actually keeping it. 👉 Save this and check out slide 7! Most people won’t understand it until it’s too late.

🔥 High-value rooms create high-value outcomes. The Toronto Founders Roundtable at Harbour Sixty brought together an exceptional group of founders, CEOs, and operators — the kind of people quietly shaping where business, leadership, and AI are headed next. 🚀 Huge appreciation to the organizers for curating such a strong room and for bringing together some of Toronto’s most influential founders. In a world full of noise, events like this stand out because the conversations are real, the people are serious, and the value is tangible. 🤝 @killxmo @kenshoheng @sznxar @danielfc19 There is something powerful about being surrounded by builders who think bigger, move faster, and execute at a high level. That kind of environment sharpens vision, expands relationships, and creates momentum. 📈 Toronto is building with force right now — and it is only getting started. 🌆✨ Looking forward to many more gatherings like this and to continuing to build with leaders who are raising the standard across this city. 🥂 #TorontoFounders #TorontoTech #TorontoBusiness #GTA #HarbourSixty

Every move matters. 💼   Behind every decision, there’s pressure, responsibility, and risk — but that’s what leadership is about. It’s not about avoiding mistakes, it’s about having the discipline to turn every outcome into progress. 📈   A true leader doesn’t wait for perfect conditions. He shows up, makes the call, and stands by it. Because whether it’s a win or a lesson, it’s always building toward something greater. 🚀   Growth doesn’t come from comfort — it comes from action, consistency, and the mindset to keep going when others hesitate. 🔥   So wherever you are right now, remember this: You’re not stuck — you’re setting up your next move. ♟️   Make it count.   #LeadershipMindset #CEOThinking #GrowthMentality #SuccessDriven #LevelUp

Tax season often pushes people to file quickly, but our Progress Group experts often say that filing fast is not the same as filing smart. Before submitting your return, it’s important to slow down and ask the right questions. Many tax mistakes don’t happen because of missing documents, but because of rushed decisions. Taking time to plan can help protect your finances both now and in the future. Before you file, consider: • Whether you have reviewed all tax-saving options • If your current decisions support your long-term financial goals • Whether filing now limits better planning opportunities Smart tax planning is about clarity, and precision planning. If you want guidance before filing, DM “PLAN” to book a tax planning consultation. #TaxSeason #TaxPlanning #ProgressGroup #TaxStrategy #WealthPlanning
