Alhamdulillah for another spectacular End of Year Dinner, and for an evening well spent with our wonderful MiMS community 💫 We were truly honoured by the presence of our incredible keynote speaker Dr Bushra Othman, who joined us to share her experience and her book, The Weight of Witness. Her words on Palestine, and on what it means to bear witness, stayed with every one of us in the room. 🤍 We extend our deepest gratitude to our partners @humanappealaus and @project.blackseed, and to @mcca.aus as our financial partners, and @amustnews as our media sponsor, for enabling this night and helping it come together so beautifully. Thank you also to @ramadanpharmacyaustralia , @ornaa.archives , @paintingsbyayshea , @bm.treats , @islamiccalligraphy.fatima and @readerswritersagainstgenocide who contributed their beautiful items, through which we raised $8000+ for Yemen🇾🇪 Thank you to @mehendibymahveen for providing us with her marvellous artistry, contributing to our fundraiser, and @tieramisu_au for providing us with delicious custom MiMS tiramisu towers!! To everyone who attended, thank you for filling the room with your presence and generosity. Your support is what makes nights like this meaningful. We ask Allah to accept from all of us, to ease the hardship of our brothers and sisters in need, and to allow MiMS to keep raising awareness and serving our ummah. Ameen. 🤲

We are humbled to be a part of @project.blackseed 's annual fundraising dinner "A Night for Yemen" We will be there serving authentic Yemeni Spiced Qahwah and Qishr all throughout the night. Every cup supports the hardworking farmers in Yemen who handpick every cherry to ensure you're receiving the best quality coffee! Come and talk to us to learn more about the farmers, their farming methods, the difficulties we face in importing to Australia from Yemen, and why Yemeni coffee is so expensive. We hope to see everyone there this weekend to support such an important cause 🇾🇪 Sunday, 13th September 5:00pm - 10:00pm 75 Reid St, Fitzroy VIC Tickets available in @project.blackseed 's bio!
