Huge congrats to Cullen Gustavson for his commitment to further his education and his lacrosse at Union College!

Cullen started playing with Westside/Cap City as a little kid. His dad, Mark, volunteered for years as a coach, and his mom, Katie, has been integral to the program. Cullen has left his mark on the Madison lacrosse community.

He persevered through ill-timed injuries, surgery, and program changes to succeed in the classroom and on the field, while remaining a strong steady leader for the players around him.

Switching from midfielder to defense, he became one of the most feared and respected long poles in the state and in the region.

During his high school career, Cullen earned.
— multiple all-conference awards
— USA Lacrosse All-Academic Award
— All-State First Team

Thank you Cullen for your talent, leadership, and work ethic. Best of luck at Union!

When you feel like you've been dragged out and can't see the light at the end of the tunnel and are getting ready to fold because no one is there to help, look in the mirror. That's the one person that you've depended on almost your entire life. Whether you stood tall or fell. It was all you! The fall was to teach you how to get back up. That fall wasn't meant to keep you on the ground. Rest for a moment if you need to, but dont rest too long. You're depending on yourself. Don't give up now. Those who look after you or check up on you when you never asked are your people. Don't let a group of people who act like they care tell you anything. Your people dont look for validation from you. Be grateful that you've come this far and be proud of yourself for getting here. Now, carry yourself to the next level. Your people will have your back. Letting someone else tell you how to act or feel is the imposter. Losers group you into feeling what they feel so that they have company in their own misery. They see your good vibes and want that for themselves, and they will use your good vibes for their own agendas. Don't be a sheep, and you dont need to be a wolf. You just need to stay and be diligent. You help everyone else out like the ant here. And pay attention to where he's left after helping everyone else up. In the end, we need to be better for ourselves and make sure we dont get left behind during the process. If you do, you know where you stand. You don't need to say anything to anyone. Their actions spoke as you helped them in their time of need, and finally, when it came time to receive help and they turned their backs. You got your answer where you stand with them. Also, dont be fooled by those who help because they want something in return. That is an evil beyond comprehension. #positivevibeswithjohnlutz #positivevibeswithjohnlutz2025 #johnspiderbatmanlutz #help #suicide #prevention

Back after a good weekend with Project Midwest and some our veteran Reso Cle ‘27s.

Had the opportunity to coach the Project Midwest 27 Gold with Coach Lee at IL Derby, and the players came together quickly, played tough, selfless lacrosse, and went 6-1, losing in the bracket championship.
The team had state players from 4 different clubs, so it was awesome that 5 Cle 27s were on the national team and showed well. Congrats Caleb Miller, Christian Smith, Beau Magella, Mason Snyder and Aiden Shehu on a great run, and for the exposure.

Nice venue, good staff to work with and players to coach, and good weather-successful trip all around.
