New encounters with art: The Midsummer Game Show is part exhibition, part stage, and proposes a novel type of fair presentation that extends the boundaries of genres. An art installation becomes a grand stage where prize winning games take place in a scenography created by artists. Drawing on historical concepts from behavioral psychology, cybernetics, and game theory, the gameplay enables new social constellations and “rituels de fête”. Visitors can win daily prizes including design objects, hotel stays, and niche perfumes—culminating in the chance to win original artworks. Gamble for spot prizes, or be in to win original artworks – the choice is yours.

On Friday we had the pleasure to host Ana Roxanne (@frincess) to perform at the Gestern & Today venue in Zurich.

She sang and played a beautiful range of pieces from previous years as well songs from her most recent album ‘Poem 1’.

The space, including shop, a bar, and a series of merchandising products made for the occasion, is now open to visitors. Additionally you can now find the first issue of Gestern & Today available for purchase.

The installation remains open until 13th of June. Kindly supported by @carharttwip_ch

Milan Design Week has become a shared ground, where disciplines overlap and perspectives move beyond design itself. During the week, we invited a group of creatives to capture the city and the selected exhibitions in their own way.

SURVEILLANCE

LIGHT INSTALLATION IN THE WINDOW DISPLAYS OF BOUTIQUE R.O.M.A ZÜRICH

EXHIBITION ON VIEW THROUGH JANUARY 2026

____

EN
In his light installation SURVEILLANCE, Constantin Vilsmeier explores the intricate entanglements between mass surveillance, artificial intelligence, and global power structures. Themes such as drone and satellite imagery, the Wikileaks revelations, and the immense reach of contemporary surveillance mechanisms are rendered visually through abstract, spherical black-and-white forms and delicate dot grids on transparent Plexiglas. By layering multiple Plexiglas sheets, a captivating moiré effect emerges—a shimmering interplay of light and motion that resists fixation and reveals new dimensions with every viewing.

DE
