Feeling proud today. This artwork is more ambitious than anything I’ve done before. I worked with the brilliant @novak_uk to create the projection so that it responds in real time to what visitors share. So it's technically very complex, but also emotionally it’s deeply multi layered: The Words That Bind Us is alive. It shifts daily, resets weekly. It reflects what people feel matters most for a fairer world. To borrow a line from Hermann Hesse: “You cannot step into the same river twice, for the river has changed and you have changed.

I am thrilled to announce that ‘The Words That Bind Us’ by @nicola_anthony is now open @durhamcathedral! 🌟 This immersive artwork is part of the exhibition 'Magna Carta and the North' at Durham Cathedral. The artwork draws inspiration from the Magna Carta and asks what would we write in contemporary times in a charter working towards a more fair, just world. It weaves together the public's collective vision into a river of light and language. Check out the video and images for a glimpse of this moving journey. I can’t wait to share it with you all - message me below if you plan to visit!

#throwbackthursday to February 2021 when we collaborated with @projected_image to set up a projector upstairs in @thestaithscafe to throw out our NCRC branding onto the pavement of a busy running route alongside the Gateshead riverside. Top bit of guerilla marketing that was!
