Long story short: “Competing” on the International stage was an experience difficult to put into words. Competing is in quotes because for me walking on stage is less about the bigger title and more about representing my community on an international level. If I learned nothing more this week, I learned that representation matters always. I’m proud of myself for staying true to who I am and why I do what I do. I pray that the girls looking up to me, see these moments as confirmation that they belong in any room!
