Grantee Spotlight 🚀✨
We are proud to highlight Project SYNCERE, recipient of a $10,000 Jack and Jill Foundation STEM Grant for their program, E-CADEMY Middle & High School Engineering Program.
E-CADEMY is a year-round engineering experience for 6th through 11th grade students, meeting Saturdays during the school year and expanding into a 6-week, 5-day-a-week intensive program each summer. Many students stay with the program for 3 to 6 years, building deep skills through nationally competitive coursework and hands-on projects.
The results speak for themselves: 100% of E-CADEMY graduates go on to pursue STEM majors in college.
Students are also connected to STEM professionals from leading companies including Tesla, ComEd, Peoples Gas, and The Boeing Company, gaining real exposure to the careers waiting for them.
This is what investing in the next generation of engineers looks like. 💙🔧

A huge thank you to our amazing partners at Project SYNCERE @projectsyncere for bringing their STEM in Motion Mobile Tinker Lab to SBEV! 🚀🔧🤖

Our students had an incredible hands-on experience exploring STEM through life-sized tinker sets, LEGO builds, robotics, electronics, ramps, and more. Using their creativity and imagination, they designed, built, tested, and problem-solved while having fun every step of the way.

Experiences like these inspire the next generation of innovators, engineers, and creators. Thank you, Project SYNCERE, for investing in our youth and making STEM come to life! 💙✨

Today we sat down with our community partners for a We’re Better Together Lunch and Learn, purposed to build together🧡

Thank you @chigivesback @theblocchicago
@theblocchicago @chistemfdn
@girls4science @projectsyncere for accepting the invitation to sit at the table of impact alongside Milhouse team members. Different organizations, different approaches, one shared responsibility.

This working conversation about what it takes to stay connected with integrity and honesty to the communities we serveand to build in a way that is consistent and real was meaningful and purposeful.

Together, we are preparing the future for the leaders of tomorrow. Not just through programs, but through presence, partnership, and the decisions we make every day to stay engaged.

What we are building does not happen alone. It takes all of us, in the room and beyond it.

For young people, the moments that matter most are the ones that take learning beyond the classroom and into the real world. That’s where belief shifts, and students stop imagining their future in energy and start seeing themselves in it.

Yesterday, Nexamp hosted its first-ever Civic Design Lab: a hands-on design sprint where students from Project SYNCERE explored two powerful questions: What would our communities look like if they were truly built for everyone? And how can solar energy help us get there?

During the sprint, students chose to reimagine everyday spaces: a schoolyard or a CTA bus stop grounding their ideas in the places they move through every day.

The most profound moment was welcoming leaders from the Chicago Transit Authority , who not only helped students refine their ideas, but connected their thinking to real-world innovation. The CTA team shared how their Innovation Studio is actively testing new, state-of-the-art solutions across the system soliciting ideas from external innovators and responding to challenges in real time. Students were able to see a direct line between their ideas and what’s already being prototyped across the city: a solar-powered text-to-speech bus stop sign. Thank you: Irma Gomez, Erik Jensen and Ana Stephens!

I’m incredibly grateful to our dynamic leaders at Nexamp for collaborating across offices & teams to make this happen. This is the most profound piece of this event: we can do so much when we move together as one.

Thank you for the wraparound support: Victoria Lingafelter, Takariana Anthony, John Savier

Civic Design Leads: Sahil Inaganti, Bryant Hudson II , Allison Santa & Keinicia Kimmons

To our opener: Jessica Collingsworth

To the Nexamp team members across Boston, NY and Chicago offices who say on the organizational committee - thank you for your collaboration: Holly Nguyen, Carl Engelbourg & Juan Parra

We’re excited to spotlight Project SYNCERE as one of our 2025–2026 STEM grantees. They’ve been awarded a $10,000 Jack and Jill Foundation STEM Grant to support their E-CADEMY Middle & High School Engineering Program — an impactful initiative that equips students with hands-on engineering experience, critical thinking skills, and exposure to future STEM pathways. 🛠️📐🚀

Through E-CADEMY, middle and high school students engage in real-world problem solving, technical skill-building, and mentorship designed to prepare them for success in STEM fields.

We’re proud to support programs that expand access to STEM education and help shape the next generation of innovators. 💡🙌

Today’s Reimagining STEM Experience was all about community, connection, and creativity! Families and students came together to explore hands-on STEM activations across multiple interactive STEM Zones — from math, engineering, esports, and Minecraft to science, sports, and robotics!

Our students & parents didn’t just participate — they led, built, played, and discovered their own power through STEM.

A huge thank you to every parent, student, educator, and community partner who made today possible. Together, we’re building a STEM-Powered Chicago — powered by community, driven by Possibility!
