We’re thrilled to be nominated for Best Small Independent Agency and PR Campaign of the Year by @prolific_north 🎉

Scala has spent the past year working with clients and campaign groups on some England’s most significant legal, healthcare stories, helping to bring important issues to the wider public.

Our PR Campaign of the Year nomination recognises our work supporting victims of the Nottingham, Leeds and Sussex maternity scandals. We are incredibly proud to have played a part in the families’ efforts to secure independent reviews into maternity services, to uncover what went wrong, why it went wrong, and what can be done to ensure this doesn’t happen again.

The recognition comes at a defining point in our development.

Throughout this year, we have continued to reshape the firm for its next stage of growth, evolving beyond the traditional PR and marketing agency model to build a more sophisticated strategic communications and advisory proposition spanning strategy, influence and reputation.

The ‘Turn the Corner’ campaign that has been running through the year has received the recognition of being shortlisted in THREE categories at the upcoming Prolific North Marketing Awards! 🏆

The campaign was developed by the Centre of Excellence along with Gardiner Richardson, Eski and Supersonic.

The shortlisted categories are: Best Integrated Campaign - Behaviour Change, Engagement & Action, Best Public Sector & Not-for-Profit Campaign, and Best Health or Life sciences Campaign.

The Winners will be announced on November 19 in Manchester, as marketing professionals come together to #CelebrateTheNorth ✨

Today’s adventures in Manchester 💁‍♀️

1. Day started well with the delightful discovery of @dysonbeauty hairdryer and @ghdhair straighteners in my room at @molliesmotels👌

2. Yoghurt bowl, basically dessert for breakfast 🍒

3. Sam and I headed to the beautiful @bruntwood workspace at 1 Circle Sq…

4. Where we met Hannah to chat about @scale_events_uk including Women Who Scale 🙌

5. Took the opportunity to spread the @womenaregoodbusiness mission up north by gifting another T-shirt 🫶

6. Sam had an important letter to deliver to @andy.burnham at No. 10 North!!! Follow @scale_events_uk for more on that.

7. Delighted to bump into Alexandra from @prolific_north (SCALE Manchester’s official digital media partner) looking ❤️‍🔥 straight out of her morning event

8. Cappuccinos, catchup, and planning sesh with my awesome PR agency @pragencyone

9. Site visit to @freightislandmcr where the pink-haired powerhouse that is Jack walked us through every inch of the space we’re going to pack with founders, investors and partners on 25 November!

Excuse our cheesy grins and shameless self-promotion, but it’s not every week you win four awards within a few days of each other. 😊

The postman called at adam+gary Towers last week to deliver the @fooh_com Awards we picked up for our Primark, The Ryder Cup and The London Marathon projects. Don’t let our smiles deceive you though, we were gripping them for dear life. They’re HEAVY. Properly heavy. Made from some serious stuff!

A huge thanks to the FOOH.com team for sending them, and for the lovely handwritten note that came with them too.

They’ve taken pride of place next to our @prolific_north ‘Production Company of the Year’ award, which we picked up in person at the end of June. We’re still absolutely over the moon with that win, and it’s already led to some brilliant conversations.

Right… promise we’ll stop talking about awards now. 😉
