You’ve given us a whole lot to be thankful for. From all of us at Five15 and Pronto, thank you for taking the time to vote for us in Metro Times’ Best of Detroit 2026.

You voted Five15 Best Drag Show, Best Trivia Night, and Best Night Out—for the 16th year in a row. We still can’t quite believe that.

And Pronto, you showed us the love with Best Gay Bar and Best Patio! To everyone who makes us their regular spot or brings someone in for the first time, thank you. It means so much that you keep choosing us.

Thank you, too, to the Metro Times staff for their Staff Picks recognizing Five15’s Drag Queen Bingo, Victoria Sanchez, and Sabin. We’re so proud of our queens and the staff who put their hearts into both places every day.

We’re honored, blessed, and awfully lucky to have you. We love you. Come celebrate with us!

With love,
Th Five15 & Pronto Family

This Mother’s Day, skip the burnt toast and awkward small talk.
Give her something she’ll actually enjoy — cocktails, chaos, and a whole lot of laughter.

The Mother of Comedy, Carol Lee, is flying in from Orlando and she’s bringing the kind of humor your family group chat could never survive.

We’re talking:
Brunch. Bingo. Drag. Drinks. And a room full of people who came to have a damn good time.

Drag Queen Bingo Brunch — Mother’s Day Edition
10AM & 12PM seatings (additional shows added as they sell out)

Seats are already moving, and once they’re gone… you’re stuck at home trying to entertain your mother yourself.
Good luck with that.

She raised you. She deserves better.

April 9, 2026 and honestly one of my favourite nights in Detroit. 🏳️‍🌈

Showed up to @OutInTech Detroit's Queer Tech Thursdays at @ProntoDiner in Royal Oak not really knowing what to expect and left feeling genuinely full. Not just from the food but from the people.

There's something about being in a space where nobody's performing. Where people just talk, laugh, and share what they're actually working on, what they're figuring out, what they care about. No pretense. Just real humans connecting over tech and everything in between. That was Thursday night. 💙

I've been in Detroit for the past several weeks through the @YSEALIPFP by the @StateDept, coming all the way from Bangkok, Thailand. One thing this city has consistently shown me is that community here runs genuinely deep and Thursday night was a perfect example of that.

What I love about Out in Tech is that it didn't start as a big organisation. It started in 2012 as a group of friends who looked around the tech industry and realised there was no space for LGBTQ+ people to find each other. So they built one. Today it's grown into a global community that creates real belonging, real career opportunities, and real mentorship for LGBTQ+ folks in tech 🌍 from the intern figuring out their first role to the CEO rewriting the rules.

Tech can feel lonely when you don't see yourself reflected in the spaces around you. That's exactly why showing up in person and being in a space like this one matters so much. 💙

As my Detroit chapter comes to a close, it's nights like this one I'll carry with me the longest. Not the meetings, not the presentations. The moments in between, where something real actually happens. 🙏

So much love to...

❤️ Chris
🩷 Ellis
🧡 Jaclyn
💛 Steven N.
💚 Steven K.
💙 Evan
🩵 Sammer
💜 Kellan
🤎 BalaMurali
🩶 Julien

and everyone who made that space what it was. See you all on the internet. 💻

And if you're anywhere near Detroit and even loosely connected to tech, come to the next Queer Tech Thursday. You belong there more than you know. 🌈
