Update from @propellersoundrecordings! 22 live tracks. 4 decades of magic. Curated by Chris Stamey.

When the original four, Peter Holsapple, Chris Stamey, Gene Holder, and Will Rigby, hit the stage together in 2024, that storied chemistry and New Wave power-pop energy proved as sharp and vital as ever.

That tour is captured forever on ‘Cycles Per Second: US Tour 2024, releasing this Friday, October 30.

💿 The Expanded CD Edition

Specially curated and sequenced by Chris Stamey, this definitive 22-song set runs the gamut from essentials like “Black and White” and “Neverland,” to deep cuts like “(I Thought You) Wanted to Know,” plus two distinct, versions of “Amplifier” (LA and NC).

📦 Available in Very Limited Quantities:

• RSD Vinyl: The final vault copies of the limited Record Store Day LP release. Once these are gone, that’s it.

• 2024 Tour T-Shirt: , available while supplies last.

Buscadero reviews re-issued @thejetblackberries album Sundown On Venus [Definitive Edition], out via @propellersoundrecordings Sound Recordings, in their October 2026 print issue, writing:

"The narrative [of Sundown On Venus [Definitive Edition]] unfolds across parallel planes, fusing two quintessential elements of American culture: science fiction and the Western. The lyrics are populated by outlaws, Venusian hideouts, and mind-controlling monsters... Each song functions as a script for an installment in an episodic film. The sound straddles the line between the roots-rock of The Gun Club and the "cow-punk" genre—country-inspired tracks played with the energy and substance of punk, not unlike the spectral atmosphere of Wall of Voodoo. A defining stylistic feature of the band is the prominent use of keyboards, handled by Mark Schwarz."

@soulwaveznews premieres @thejetblackberries single “Masked Astronaut,” out via @propellersoundrecordings , writing:

“ 'Masked Astronaut' is a frenetic psychobilly anthem that introduces us to a space cowboy... It’s a song about a legend who plays the role of the 'Lone Ranger of the Milky Way.' Jet Black Berries have released a new single, 'Rockfire Sex66,' both releases [have] post-punk angst, roots-rock mythology, the psychedelic revival, and science-fiction dread."

@frecuenciaalternativa.col features newly remastered @thejetblackberries single “Masked Astronaut,” out via @propellersoundrecordings , writing:

"Who said an astronaut needs a conventional spaceship? In the Jet Black Berries universe, he can have the devil as a companion, sleep on asteroids, consult a crystal ball, and traverse the galaxy as if he were riding to the next town in the Old West. That's the strange protagonist of 'Masked Astronaut...' The song blends rockabilly, punk, and an imaginative space western aesthetic to create a character who seems to have stepped straight out of an impossible movie... a kind of short poem about an astronaut turned gunslinger and masked vigilante. Musically, 'Masked Astronaut' moves with a playful and irreverent energy. There’s swing, rockabilly-tinged guitars, and a punk attitude that keeps the concept from becoming too solemn. The song knows its universe is absurd, dark, and fun all at once, and that’s precisely where its charm lies. An astronaut, a space horse, black magic, and a crystal ball: logic can stay on Earth here."

@parapop_net features newly remastered @thejetblackberries single “Masked Astronaut,” out via @propellersoundrecordings , writing:

"Good news for fans of weird sci-fi who have run out of B-movies to watch. Veteran New York rock band Jet Black Berries have dug through their old songs and released a new polished version of 'Masked Astronaut.' The rhythm thumps furiously with a fast-paced drum beat, immediately infiltrated by thick bass lines and intense, psychobilly guitar riffs. It shoots straight ahead without brakes, as if the accelerator has been deliberately stepped on from the opening seconds. There's a crisp, comic mischief as we're invited to chew on the lyrics. [The lyrics] deliver a space cowboy premise with a relaxed pulp horror twist... nod along to the unforgiving roar of their musical arrangement."

"[Jet Black Berries] gets righteously on the dance floor... weaves a story that is part Western, part space opera." - @the_arts_desk

"A swaggering, turbo-charged affair packed with equal parts scuzz and craft... a joy from first to last." - @classicrockmag

"Jet Black Berries always stuck to their guns and never compromised their own artistic vision." - @v13media

"Slashing riffs, thunderous drumming and a menacing atmosphere that swoops between the sinister post-punk like The Birthday Party... Magic and chaos that is dystopic and incendiary." - @godisinthetvzine

“ 'Johnsonville' [is] filled with outlaws, Venusian hideouts and mind-controlling monsters." - @ripplemusic

"[Jet Black Berries are] saturated in black dye, dabbling in the dark arts of goth, and the twisted psychedelia of 'Johnsonville' slowly and hypnotically reaching out from the grave with eerie organ tendrils." - @ink19mag

"Uptempo, swampy, and short and sweet, 'Macumba Love' feels like a lost midnight movie compressed into a few adrenaline-fueled minutes." - @ventsmagazine

" 'Rocketfire Sex66' is a swaggering glam punk tune that draws from and blends elements of Marc Bolan, Primal Scream, Social Distortion and The Rolling Stones... gritty yet cinematic." - Joy of Violent Movement

"Drawing on the flamboyance of T. Rex and the New York Dolls while retaining a scrappy punk attitude... deliberately retro without feeling overly nostalgic... loose, colourful, and full of rock ’n’ roll swagger." - @lastdaydeaf
