Asking For It is a collaboration with the audience. it is a show in perpetual development.

Via live, emailed and written feedback, audiences ask for what they want from a show, and receive it - or not.

Taking to extreme levels the idea of of audience engagement, Asking For It navigates layers of consent while looking at notions of care, power and control within the audience / artist relationship.

PROGRAM HIGHLIGHT - HAPPY HOUR

Happy Hour is ReadyMade Works' signature short works program showcasing the extraordinary practices of Sydney's independent dance artists. It gives artists an opportunity to test performance ideas in front of an audience and allows audience the opportunity to see dance work in it’s not quite-yet-formed experimental state.

Our Happy Hour program 22/23 featured work by Proper Motion, Taiga Kita-Leong and Chloe Leong(March 23) and Molonai Makalio and Gabriela Green Olea(July 22).

"ReadyMade Works' support during my Happy Hour development in the studio was exceptional. They have cultivated and developed an amazing network for the independent dance community of Sydney. It's a pleasure to be part of such a lovely organisation" Taiga Kita-Leong

Our next Happy Hour is showing TONIGHT and TOMORROW! Link in bio for tickets

ReadyMade Works is run by artists, for artists. Support us, to support the independent dance community, and allow us to fund more much needed Happy Hour seasons.
