POSTS STORIES REELS TAGGED

Private event for our sponsors @bogey_knights
.
Located in one of the most beautiful hideaways in the south west - @thecopperpotcampsite
Our Pro Pyro team lead by @mark_the_fire_jester hosted daytime circus workshops, followed by evening fire shows and experience, as a thank you for believing in us.
.
Before Christmas, we had ideas, plans and equipment that will change the industry, but to do this, we foresaw many risks that we would need to manage. This is where the team @bogey_knights came in and helped provide us with the protective equipment that we needed, all given to us on the faith and trust that we would repay this.
.
On our journey from then till now, our team has their full pyrotechnic handling licenses, have been testing pyro effects in ways that haven't been tried before and developed solid relationships with industry leading companies that will be supporting our vision to come to life. All without a single one of our team or individuals we look after having to need medical attention, whilst being able to experience what it's like to use the type of effects you'd see at a professional Rammstein concert!
.
Specifically though, thank you to Beau, this man has created and supported multiple individuals and companies, all whilst trying to focus on supporting his own family, and he is one of the few that seems to be getting the balance right!
.
But lastly, our whole team agrees, as far as Christmas/summer work do's go, that's the best one we've been too!

The bee's nest 🐝🔥
Steel wool
Something that a lot of performers are quite familiar with.
High burn temp output
High fallout
Very bright
Low noise
.
Works best when you allow the steel wool to be quite loose. The additional air in it helps with promoting the effect. If you wrap it too tight, it's more likely to form a solid metal mass and not eject material.
.
More steel wool, longer/ more dense effect
Faster spinning speed, further the effect will travel
.
@matthewjeffery41 & ourselves are testing the limits on what's possible with steel wool. He's going down the power tool route to compliment his stunning photography work. While we're approaching it from the Flowarts route. This symbiosis of creation is a lot of fun and I encourage all artists to join the inspiration train. Build something that will help us evolve as a community 🔥 #patentsarefortheweak

No bees were harmed in the making of this. Only a slightly singed Fred 👍

Pro Pyro testing.
This year, we will be working on finding out what's possible when it comes to which effects are suitable for flowartists to use.
Thankfully, we have suitable protective gear thanks to @bogey_knights, and a lack of braincells due to paraffin inhalation 🔥

Crackling Fountain test
15sec burn time
5 meter spray
Electrical ignition
Low temperature output
Even distribution of effect throughout movement
🔥🔥🔥🔥
Our verdict,
Great effect, very loud.

The gold sparks have a relatively low temperature and light output, this is great for more intricate effects where you don't want the light to be too intense. I also feel this is easier for people to capture media due to the low light.

The sound output has a real effect as well and for something with a similar heat output to cold spark gerbs, it'll be a great addition to a show.

Comes under the T1 classification of pyrotechnics which means it's currently suitable for public purchase without a license.

The things to be cautious of, is this is an electrical ignition pyrotechnic and this will require the right setup or knowledge to operate. This is also very loud, and both the performer and myself had a ringing in our ears for at least a day afterwards.

As always, this is a pyrotechnic with a lot of potential energy. Don't do this at home unless you know what you're doing and what risks are involved.
