As Kate Stewart–Prospect School’s Managing Director of Teaching and Learning–explains, the opportunity for students from across Brooklyn’s diverse communities to collaborate on the same material from different backgrounds and points of view is what makes @prospect_schools classrooms so special.

Our students learn as much from working with each other as they do from the curriculum itself.

To celebrate the opening of our newest K-8 campus in Windsor Terrace in fall 2026, we are hosting a Halloween Carnival to bring our current and future community together.

Join us, Thursday, October 23 (5:00-7:30 PM), 3002 Fort Hamilton Pkwy, Brooklyn, NY 11218

Last week, more than 15,000 public charter school parents, students, and educators from over 200 New York City charter schools came together at Cadman Plaza for the March for Excellence. Together, with Common, families from every borough raised their voices with one clear message: all kids deserve access to excellent schools.

Charter schools are a free, public school option for the families of New York. Our kids deserve equal treatment. This was a rally for equity, justice, and the future of our children. We demanded fairness, dignity, and the freedom to have public school choices. An excellent education is a civil right, not a privilege. #accessisequity #charterschools
