What an incredible evening at the Unlabelled Awards Gala ✨

Yesterday, we had the honor of celebrating so many amazing individuals excelling in their respective disciplines—many of whom have overcome unimaginable adversity and turned their experiences into purpose, impact, and inspiration.

One of those incredible honorees was my dear friend @estherlamour Esther LaMour. Her resilience, both personally and professionally, has helped shape her into the talented and well-respected celebrity stylist she is today. Much of her magic happens behind the scenes, but last night, she deserved to be seen, celebrated, and given her flowers. 💐

We also celebrated @waahdean Joaquin Dean, a true leader, trailblazer, and powerhouse whose commitment to his community continues to make an impact.

And to Unlabelled Awards founder Butterfli Tia @unlabelledawards and Board Member @sunnymoneyqueens Sunshine Smith-Williams—you ladies are phenomenal! Your commitment to acknowledging, uplifting, and celebrating others speaks volumes about who you are. The work you do and, most importantly, the heart behind it does not go unnoticed. 💜

Last night was a beautiful reminder that we shouldn’t wait for a special occasion to recognize people for who they are and what they contribute. It’s imperative that we give people their flowers daily—while they are here to receive them.

Congratulations to Esther, Joaquin, all of the incredible honorees, and the amazing women behind the Unlabelled Awards for creating a space where people’s stories, perseverance, and impact are truly celebrated. 🏆✨💐

What a beautiful evening at the NYCHA NAACP Branch Women’s History Month Celebration, where I was honored to receive a Community Leadership Award.

This recognition felt especially meaningful because my husband was born and raised in Manhattanville Houses, and my mother-in-law is truly a force to be reckoned with around 130th and Broadway! NYCHA communities are filled with history, strength, pride, and people who help hold neighborhoods together every single day.

I’m grateful for the warm welcome and look forward to lending my energy, talents, and commitment to the chapter and the important work ahead.

Thank you to Chapter President Lynn Spivey and the entire leadership team for such a meaningful celebration. Hugs to my girl Janine Saulsbury aka @prosperluv for my wonderful introduction. I want to take a moment to wish my godfather @realbillduke a fantastic 83rd birthday. Today not only marks his special day but also the moment he receives his Hollywood star, adding to the celebration. He is an important figure in black history. Thank you for all the lessons you've taught me, everything you've done for me, including stepping in at Methodist Hospital during my leg amputation. I have countless memories and stories. Just know that I am grateful and love you, Uncle Bill. Enjoy your special day!

Grateful beyond words. 🍂🧡
Even though Thanksgiving has passed, the spirit of giving is always in season. I’m finally sharing highlights from our Share 4 Life Thanksgiving Turkey & Food Giveaway, and my heart is still full.

This year, we were blessed to partner with Greater Queens (NY) Chapter of The Links, Incorporated (GQCL), who generously donated 350 turkeys along with food boxes overflowing with fresh produce, vegetables, and essential items. These were delivered directly into the hands of families across NYCHA communities in Queens and Far Rockaway.

A huge thank you to our amazing partners A Brooklyn Child and Angela Simmons – Angela’s Angels for standing with us and supporting this mission. Your commitment helps us continue showing up for our communities in meaningful ways.
