Our students worked so hard these past two weeks preparing thousands of blondies to pass out at the Taste of Santa Ana food festival! From weighing and measuring their mise en place to baking, portioning, and packaging, we appreciate the hard work, dedication, teamwork and career ready skills they demonstrated during this big project. These students are the future of our industry and we could not be prouder! We’ll see you at tomorrow’s festival Santa Ana! Please stop by, say hello, and get a blondie. 😁😎

Congratulations to Chef Baptist and our amazing Pro-Start Students (Belen, Brianna, and Azalynn)! Last night, they were invited to the Jeffco Board Meeting to be recognized for their outstanding community contribution by attending and working the Denver Food and Wine Festival at MSU Denver. The Board thanked a recognized them for exemplifying the transformative power of Career and Technical Education (CTE) to open doors to real-world success across the district. We are so proud of Chef and our students; we love seeing their passion come out in their work! Way to go, Bears! #GoBCBears

Good food tastes even better after a great service! 🍔🍟

Shoutout to Mason and Nam, who have been doing great work at Savvy’s Bistro! They’re showing off their well-earned crew meals, and we’re proud of the work they’re putting in and the chefs and managers they’re becoming. 👨‍🍳

Join us for lunch tomorrow from 12:00–1:30 PM! We’ll be closed next week due to testing, so come get your Bistro fix and support our student chefs before the break. Dine in or grab it to go!

We cannot believe 1st quarter ends next week! We have had so much fun and made so many achievements in the first 8 weeks! Culinary 1 students all passed their @servsafe Food Handlers Certification, learned new knife skills, how to measure, and different types of heat transfer! We head into cooking methods next week! Culinary 2 students reviewed their safety procedures, dug into dairy and eggs, breakfast, and potatoes and grains! We have started our year-long restaurant project, and we can’t wait to see what concepts the chefs will come up with this year 🍴

Always something tasty, always something new to learn, and always new things to create in #wandoculinaryarts!
