Lowkey... I feel like I could upload my next 10 post just about my last trip lol... I won't do that to you tho!! But one interesting fact.
As you probably know by now I'm from DRC, the biggest country in black Africa (Algeria is the first one because of the Sahara mostly, Sudan used to be the biggest one before they split in 2 in 2011 but that's for another post).... So coming from central Africa my history and heritage is different.
Indeed, my story is not so based on 400 years of slavery mainly coming from the west coast of Africa, but from the colonisation (which is another form of slavery, and it some aspect still remains). This slight (but not so slight after all) differences lead to two forms of diasporas. One that know where they come from and the other that have been strip away from their roots. The love for Africa still remains the same for both diasporas but the word "Home" resonate differently.

And we have a common ancestor enemy which bond us outside of our colour.

Now some countries like Ghana been hit by slavery and colonisation ... (sucks! big time). However I must give a huge applause to this little piece of land that is Ghana and its people to be so resilient and strive to greatness.

Indeed, to me the "Year Of Return" is not just a cool week of event for people to party. But a real movement where both diaspora can potentially link back up and create a better Africa.
Even if politics and corruption remains. Education, communities and people themselve can create the change.
I'm eager to see what could possibly done starting this new decade.
