POSTS STORIES REELS TAGGED

This is the appetizer.

“The Wanted Man” Nic Nemeth vs. “Legit” Hollywood Cole (@legithollywoodcole) has been getting plenty of attention since Saturday, so here’s a taste of the edit I’m putting together.

From UCW All Hallows’ Eve — October 24 at Spryfield Lions Rink in Halifax, Nova Scotia.

The main course is coming later this week with my full edit. You can watch the full match right now on @newscott’s YouTube channel.

A night I’ll never forget.

Growing up, I watched Dolph Ziggler and dreamed of reaching the level he did. A 2x WWE World Champion, 2x TNA World Champion, a multiple time champion all over the world, without a doubt a future Hall of Famer, and, in my opinion, the best in the world. Someone who inspired me long before I ever stepped into a wrestling ring.

As a fellow student of Lance Storm also coming from an amateur wrestling background, sharing the ring with Nic was a matchup I could only have dreamed of. Stylistically, it was everything I could have asked for. Personally and professionally, it was the biggest and most important night of my life.

I didn’t just get to meet my idol. I got to wrestle him. And I pinned him right in the middle of the ring.

To everyone who helped make this opportunity a reality, thank you. And to Nic, thank you for the experience of a lifetime. Getting to share the ring with you is something I’ll cherish forever.

Hollywood Cole can hang with the best in the world. And Saturday night, I proved that!

Incredible night!

I have got to do a lot of really cool things over the past 25 years but being able to promote and work with Nic Nemeth easily tops the list.

The moral of this story is if you dress up as your favourite wrestler for Halloween and tag them in your post, 15 years later you’ll be able to book them on a show and go downtown with them while they are still in their gear.

I love pro wrestling.

Thank you @nicnemeth for everything you did for us.

The biggest match of my career.
The biggest test of my career.
And, without a doubt, the biggest match in Maritime wrestling history.

I grew up watching and idolizing Nic Nemeth. I watched him become one of the best in the world, and now I get to step into the ring with him as the most decorated UCW wrestler of all time.

TNA World Champion Nic Nemeth vs. Hollywood Cole. Two trainees of @stormwrestlingacademy

Spryfield Lion’s Rink. October 24th.

I’ve spent my entire career trying to prove I belong in moments like this.

Now I get to prove it against one of the men who inspired me to become a pro wrestler in the first place.

Right before I turned 26 a couple months ago, I said I was going to get into the best shape of my life and I wasn’t going to ever look back.

When I started working out at 16, I was 110 pounds. When I started wrestling training a few months later I was somewhere around 115–125 pounds. Today I am sitting around 200 lbs.

Thank you to everyone who’s been on this journey with me. We’re going all the way.

If you wanna shoot for the stars, you’re gonna need to look like one.

Chad Tobin has been taking photos for us for a number of years now and he is the best! What a gem of a person. This shot here might be my favourite he has ever taken. What an incredible shot of a legend of Canadian wrestling with the future of Canadian wrestling.

Just perfect.
