I don’t even know where to begin! After 10.5yrs of talking about it. 8months of living on the east coast preparing for it. Pre-production and 4 weeks of actually filming. WE DID IT! 🎬

Incase you didn't know, @sgrayhm and I met because of this film. It was 10.5 years ago that he was traveling the country originally fundraising for the concept of what is now SHEEPDOG. Fast forward to many broken hearts, false starts and revisions later it finally happened. 🎞️

There’s so much to unpack about the entire process but just want to start with THANKING MY PEOPLE. 🤍

These people 🤍 Without them the final steps of the journey would not have been possible. Not only did they become some of my closest friends but we all became a family.

I am endlessly grateful to every single person who shared in this experience. From my mom @tierney413 waking up at 4am every morning with me to cater for the cast/crew. To my best friends being there to laugh, cry and problem solve with. To making new friends who I will cherish forever. It has been something I will surely never forget and I will long for those crazy days with every one of you!

I imagine it will take months, if not years, to fully unpack, process, digest, and reflect upon the last twelve years that ultimately lead to these last few metamorphic months of making SHEEPDOG.

I will begin by saying that I am absolutely filled to the brim with GRATITUDE. I am so incredibly proud of our amazing cast & crew who put forth their very best every single day and gave everything they had to help tell this inspirational, heartfelt, timely and worthy story. My sincerest thanks to everyone for their collective efforts who all helped to get us there. This is your film. You will forever hold a piece of my heart and I will always cherish our short time together that for many of us – was experienced and shared as if it were lifetimes. When I am old and gray and staring out at the horizon from my rocking chair on my front porch – you will always be with me. Thank you.

I feel like I have emerged from the wild an entirely different person, having just endured a profoundly life-changing experience - only to return to a different kind of jungle. The yearnings I had for the simplicities of my former comforts: my own bed, my morning routine with the pups, the warmer weather, my common surroundings, and so on – now all seem entirely trivial.

In my struggle to articulate the maelstrom felt in my soul, I thought of this Welsh word that I came across years ago…

Hiraeth (n.) a homesickness for a home to which you cannot return, a home which maybe never was; the nostalgia, the yearning, the grief for the lost places of your past.

Maybe the change felt within is so monumental that there is nowhere for your former self to return to? …And maybe that’s the gift that awaits us on the other side of profound growth?

I know one thing for certain – I will never be the same. And that’s pretty f*ckin’ awesome.

Here’s to embracing the CHANGE. Recognizing the GROWTH. And most importantly – SHARING THE GRATITUDE. To turning the proverbial page in our collective books, and to exploring the next sweet, wondrous, unknown chapter that lays ahead and is yet to be discovered.

About a month ago, I was cast in a feature film being shot in Boston. What I thought was going to be just some obscure background guy, turned in to much more than that. It was an amazing experience to watch @filmerdugan(Happy Gilmore, Big Daddy, Grown Ups, etc) working his creative magic. Thank you to all of the other actors who do this for a living for welcoming the outsider into your world for a short time. It was a fun 10 days of filming with all of you. I can't wait for everyone to get the chance to see "Love, Weddings & Other Disasters".
