happy august to the people who live for the hope of it all…🍷

it’s starting to feel like salt air and the rust on your door!! my favorite time of the year!! compiled some of my favorite pics that remind me of August/salt air/moments at the beach (let’s pretend you guys haven’t seen some of these pics before). August probably is my favorite month of the summer even though it does suck that summer is winding down, but that means fall is right around the corner (my fave season)!!

soaking up every second of this month, playing august on repeat, listening to my bellyconrad playlist (it’s THEIR month), missing the eras tour constantly, leaning back in to all my favorite hobbies, reading some GOOD books 🤞🏻 it’s going to be a good month!!

QOTD: what is your favorite song off of Folklore?? do you like the month of August??

mental health book recs 🧠📚🫶🏻

May is Mental Health Awareness Month, which is something I’m super passionate about!! No better way to celebrate than getting myself this cute hat from @proudofyourprogress as a reminder to myself and others that I’m proud of our progress and healing in my mental health journey.

I know that I come off bubbly and fun and I try to keep this account as positive as possible because it’s my happy place, but I’m someone who has struggled with mental health issues my entire life. As someone who has dealt with depression, anxiety, suicidal thoughts (and so many other wonderful mental illnesses) since I was very young, I find it so important to be open about my mental health. Growing up I was someone who held all my emotions and issues inside and really didn’t feel like I saw that many people talking about their mental health. But once I finally asked for help and got into therapy and medication, my entire life was changed.

Life can be so hard and full of so many challenges but one of the things that has brought me so much comfort is knowing I’m not the only feeling this way. Reading is the one thing that has always brought me so much comfort, connection, and true happiness and refinding my passion for reading was one of the things that saved me in some of my darkest days. Finding characters in books that deal with mental health issues like I do is one of my favorite things, as a reminder that we aren’t alone.

We are all human and we all have so much life ahead of us. I’m so grateful for this little life I’ve created for myself and for the friendships and community this account has brought me!! 🤍
