There’s this idea going around called October Theory, that October is almost like a second New Year. A time when people experience unexpected changes, feel a new spark of motivation, or find themselves heading in a completely different direction.

And after looking back at my camera roll from the past year, I am a total believer.

What started with me sitting in the audience at Miss USA last October turned into a year I never could’ve imagined. And now that my 15-year dream has become a reality, this October has sparked an entirely new dream. One that has me ridiculously excited to see what the next 365 days have in store.

Her journey is about so much more than winning a crown.

We’ve worked together for several years through @prpageantcoaches , and I’ve watched her grow through the highs, challenges, and demanding seasons of pageant preparation.

Preparing for Miss USA wasn’t always easy.

There were long days, travel, missed workouts, exhaustion, and moments of self-doubt.

But we kept adjusting, refining, and moving forward.

We focused on building muscle definition, improving stage presence, creating better nutrition habits, and finding consistency in the middle of a very full life.

I loved working with Julia because she was so open and honest. She let me into her life and we navigated it together.

I’m incredibly proud of you, Julia—not just for the crown, but for the woman you’re becoming. 💕

As I prepare to turn 35 next week, I’m reminded that 20 years ago, at just 15, I met a woman who would forever shape my life.

You believed in me before I believed in myself, saw beauty I couldn’t see in the mirror, spoke confidence into my heart, and gave me the courage to chase BIG dreams.

Twenty years later, I see your fingerprints all over the woman I’ve become. From the way I use my voice to the way I pour into others, so much of it began with what you poured into me.

As I celebrate your birthday just days before mine, my heart is especially grateful. The older I get, the more I realize that one of the greatest gifts in my life has been yours.

Happy Birthday, Jules! 🥹❤️ Your impact on my life is immeasurable, and I love you forever and ever! 💕
