TODAY IS THE DAY!! "Playful Love" is out on all streaming platforms! The process of making this tune has been a real journey and has helped me heal and grieve in many ways. This tune is dedicated to my brother Lance, my grandmother, my uncles Dominic and Virg and Baci who have all passed away recently in my life. I wanted to explore the idea of family love and how we feel when that love disappears. Please take a listen, download, share and let me know what you think 🧡

Melodic Montage (Bachelor of Music in Jazz Studies Grad Recital) 04.18.24.

Some highlights from the night with some of my favourite musicians and a couple of special ladies who made the road to getting my degree a success.

The photo projected behind the band is from a trip I took to So Cal last Spring where I experienced Joshua Tree National Park for the first time. It’s the area of the park where the Mojave Desert and Colorado Desert collide. It’s so unlike any landscape I’ve ever seen and I was in awe of the beauty there.

A special thanks to:
@lindsay.rosemary and @jarvis.brent for your continued investment and encouragement into my musical journey. I really couldn’t have done this without you both! It was such a privilege to be your student for the last 4 years.

@sarah.terlesky and @frederika12345 for being my homegyalllllzzz for the last 3 years and helping me thrive (and survive) the highs and lows and everything inbetween with this program.

And obviously my family, church fam, friends (especially @marrriiah and @katie_robinson11), and peers for being my support system throughout the last 4 years especially. I appreciate you all! Thank you for supporting me in what I love and was created to do.

Lastly, thank you to the @malaspinatheatre for making the production of my recital possible and for recording the whole show on FB! You can watch my Melodic Montage on the VIU Music Facebook Page (5:31-46:38)
