Deep Sea Dweller began in the Aras na Gael, Galway City in 2022. It immediately drew in people from all swathes with its combination of aquatic themed electro funk and chill environment of the Aras na Gael. Ryan and Prun met at the first DSD and have been electronerd buddies ever since. DSD continues to push its electro sound and create a space for all to dance and enjoy. As huge fans and followers of Dublin Digital Radio right from its start, it is an honour to be able to bring our passion to the DDR programme for a monthly electro nerd off, showcasing the best in electro music, from Ireland, and beyond. Tonight from 10pm to 12am we introduce our new monthly show Deep Sea 🌊 Radio on @dublindigitalradio bringing you whatever electro happens to be floating our boat ⛴️ DSD XXX

Delighted to welcome Qugas to the DSD family. He’s a heavy hitter and we are hyped to have him open the night for us. It’s an honour to have open proceedings for what promises to be a huge night of top tier electronic music. Some words to give you an idea of what to expect.

As a producer he always had great attention to details, producing his own samples from scratch. He describes his sound as deep and minimalistic.
2005 the year that sees Qugas leave Lithuania and move to Ireland in the hopes of perfecting his art and grow as both Dj and Producer. As a DJ since his arrival in Ireland he has earned the recognition in Galway DJ scene playing in many private parties & local pubs. In his sets we can hear his predominant styles minimal and tech house fusion with great use of effects, loops and samples.
In 2009 along with DJ Rais D (Latvia) and DJ Tatumba (Lithuania) he formes HOUSEWORX DJ Team. As a member of this project he is organizing and taking part in many events, including series of summer boat parties and countless gigs at local bars and clubs.

We. Are. Back. DSD and culture night presents a night of free entry and proper music. We love the Áras and it’s such a treat to be back in with some proper heavyweights. @qugas is no stranger to Galways dance floors, having run a night in various locations, this time he turns his attention towards electro and will do an exclusive electro set to kick things off. Next up, a fundamentally important part of DSD, and founder of the community scratch games, prolific producer, street fighter guru and second to none scratch artist, @jimmythehideouspenguin will be killing it as he invariably always does. Last up, a man who has played for DSD, and the Scratch Games in the past, Long Before Since aka Ronan Dunne will be playing a full live set. Having seen a few of his recent sets , I really would recommend not missing this. And, thanks to Culture Night and Galway Arts Council for helping make this night free to all. Sea 🌊 you on the floor! Táimid. Ar. Ais. Cuireann DSD agus oíche chultúir oíche i láthair ina bhfuil cead isteach saor in aisce agus ceol ceart. Is breá linn an Áras agus is breá linn a bheith ar ais le roinnt ceoltóirí troma cearta. Níl @qugas strainséir ar urláir damhsa na Gaillimhe, tar éis oíche a reáchtáil in áiteanna éagsúla, an uair seo díríonn sé a aird ar cheol leictreonach agus déanfaidh sé tacar leictreonach eisiach chun tús a chur leis. Ar aghaidh, beidh cuid ríthábhachtach de DSD, agus bunaitheoir na gcluichí scratch pobail, léiritheoir táirgiúil, gúrú trodaire sráide agus ealaíontóir scratch den scoth, @jimmythehideouspenguin, ag déanamh a ndícheall mar a dhéanann sé i gcónaí. Ar deireadh, beidh fear a d’imir do DSD, agus na Scratch Games san am atá thart, Ling Befire Since ar a dtugtar Ronan Dunne, ag seinm tacar beo iomlán. Tar éis dom cúpla ceann dá sheit le déanaí a fheiceáil, molfainn gan é seo a chailleadh. Agus, buíochas le Oíche Chultúir agus Comhairle Ealaíon na Gaillimhe as cabhrú leis an oíche seo a dhéanamh saor in aisce do chách. Go n-éirí an t-ádh libh ar an urlár! DSD XXX

ELECTRO CHRONICLES #9 w/ PRUN.

Really happy to have @prunroche joining me for this month's Electro Chronicles.

For the past few years, he's been the driving force behind Deep Sea Dweller in Galway, bringing the electro sound he loves to the west of Ireland. What started as a passion project has grown into one of the country's most respected underground nights, welcoming artists like Dopplereffekt, Kerrie, L.F.T. and Plant43.

One thing I really appreciate is meeting people who share the same vision. Instead of competing, we're all pushing in the same direction, supporting the scene, sharing great music and creating spaces where people can come together, lose themselves for a while and just dance. That's what it's all about.
This mix is exactly what I'd expect from PRUN: deep, machine-driven electro from start to finish.

As always, I'll take care of the first hour, then PRUN steps in for the second.
Hope you enjoy listening as much as we enjoyed putting this one together.

Turn it up. 🖤
