（記事URL） URL: musiclaneokinawa.com/ archives/57141 “見つかった音”が、台湾に受け入れられるまで。 Asia） 協力　 sucola/Ganbatte Production/ 浮現祭EMERGE/THE WALL/Music Lane Festival Okinawa /sucola taiwan team 　　　　　 Photo 浮現祭EMERGE FEST/Ru @ps66sss /Teddy @teddyyu_fotooo Something that existed on sucola’s stage— and was rarely seen on other Japanese artists’ stages. In front of many Japanese acts, there were Taiwanese fans who had already listened, already prepared. But in front of sucola, there was a different kind of energy. Drawn in by their daily social media posts, people showed up— and somehow, slowly, became completely absorbed. In the next part, we’ll dive into the atmosphere of EMERGE FEST in Taiwan, how sucola was embraced by the audience, and what made them stand out so powerfully through Sakurai’s eyes. #

In 2024, I had the chance to work on a small batch of visuals for @zedd's TELOS Tour. The goal was to create a set of minimal, but 3D 'VJ Tools' to integrate into the arch-shaped LED wall at the center of his stage. These visuals were used to help the audience see depth in the LED wall, and to combine with the production in moments with heavy use of lasers and lights. I've compiled some of my favourite photos and videos of the visuals as they were being toured across the USA, South America, and Asia. In 2014, Zedd was one of the first DJs I saw perform after I had started my daily GIF artworks, so it felt like a very full-circle moment to see these visuals a decade later on some massive stages including the Ultra Miami main stage. I've also included a few breakdowns of the individual layers for each visual. Huge thank you to @_sillygabe_ for bringing me on for this project! The next morning, we headed to Qingshui in Taichung. The city moved slower than Taipei, yet carried a quiet, underlying warmth. Their small team, formed just days before, already felt deeply in sync. Without a major agency, they built everything themselves— finding a local team and shaping their vision step by step. Their stage was tucked deep inside the venue, a place you wouldn’t reach by accident. Still, they had been reaching out— posting in Chinese every day, sharing their voice little by little. When the show began, people ran up from below, and the space slowly filled. During “Ranman Summer,” a single raised hand spread into a wave— until everyone moved as one. Even as light rain fell, no one left. In “BEPPU,” smiles and movement connected, and the crowd became one. In that moment, I knew— sucola had been seen in Taiwan. Not just discovered, but received, loved, and needed. And that feeling would only continue to grow.
