Tourism Tip Tuesday: Dispersion, Dispersion, Dispersion!

Thanksgiving weekend is almost here, the fall colours are putting on a show, the temperatures are looking great, and we know our region is going to be busy with both new and returning visitors.

This week’s tip is for our tourism operators and frontline teams: help visitors discover the little gems beyond the busiest spots.

We know there will be crowds. We know there will be lineups. By recommending another trail, attraction, community, restaurant or experience, we can disperse visitors throughout the region, ease pressure on the hotspots and, most importantly, help everyone leave with a great tourism experience.

And while we remind visitors to pack their patience, a reminder for our frontline tourism teams too: we know it’s been a marathon of a year. Long days, overtime and a lot of hard work have brought us here.

One final push to the finish line.

Let’s spread the visitors, spread the economic impact and make this Thanksgiving weekend a great one across the region.
