As the college/university academic year came to a close last week, I wanted to give thanks and show appreciation to the University of Tampa and the University of South Florida, their faculty, departments, and board members for inviting me on campus to help impact, guide, empower, and lead Career Readiness workshops, sessions, and classes for their students. This past academic year was amazing, and I am truly blessed to give back and coach the next generation before they enter the workforce.

Thank you

10% OFF for all University of Tampa students this month! 🎓🔥Our downtown Tampa location is right next to campus!

We’ve been loving our partnership with @pseutampa 🙌 — the sales & marketing fraternity at UT!

Six of their incredible members have joined us as marketing interns, helping with everything from content creation to spreading the word about Gateway across campus. They’ve even hosted on-campus pop-ups where we sold subs and donated 50% of proceeds right back to @pseutampa 💪

We also had the chance to share with their chapter about our journey of building Gateway, along with some of the marketing strategies that have helped us grow.

Big things happen when you build with the community 🤝

Early career professionals in corporate America face pressure fast.
Deadlines. KPIs. Quotas. Sales targets. Self doubt.

Technical skills help.
Mental performance determines who sustains results.

MentalTrainingPlan.com teaches people how to control their mind and body under pressure so they perform at their best when it matters most.

For early career talent, mental performance training helps:

• Regulate stress in high stakes moments
• Manage doubt, worry, and negative self talk
• Stay focused on controllables instead of outcomes
• Perform consistently under quota and deadline pressure
• Build confidence, emotional control, and resilience
• Recover faster from rejection, missed targets, and setbacks

Pressure does not break people.
Untrained minds do.

Mental skills are trainable.
Focus is trainable.
Confidence is trainable.
Stress control is trainable.

$2,500. Convention funding. 👀

If your chapter gets 8 more attendees than last year, you qualify. No attendees last year? Just get 8 total this year to earn the funding.

The first 20 chapters to hit that mark unlock the $2,500. 💜📣

Serving a mission leads to the hire.
Campus recruiting is transformational when you put student preparedness first.

For three years, I’ve shifted from the career-fair model to building real partnerships with the University of Tampa. When you invest in a university’s mission, the return follows.

Trust grows when you show up with purpose. My role @uoftampa went from recruiter to partner because I focused on their goals. That work led to an elected seat on the Board of Counselors @utampa_boc

My blueprint stays the same: Serve, Guide, Lead, Impact, Empower.
Put students first. Build readiness. Build trust. Build value.

This year I’m proud to support UT across multiple touchpoints that all strengthen student success. These are investments in their mission that align with long-term talent strategy.

Stop treating campus recruiting as transactional. Make it a partnership. When you help a university fulfill its purpose, it helps you fulfill yours.

If you’re starting your sales career, here’s what nobody tells you:
The reps crushing it aren’t smarter, they built stronger habits.
After 20+ years in sales environments, I’ve seen it; the gap isn’t talent, it’s routine and discipline.

What separates future top performers:

🔸 They own their mornings
Before your inbox runs you, run your day. Use your first hour to reach prospects, not scroll Slack. Before leaving, set your 3 key tasks for tomorrow.

🔸 They follow up like pros
One email won’t do it. Each follow-up adds value—a stat, case study, or insight. Make people glad you reached out again.

🔸 They document everything
Write down what prospects care about. Reference it later—you’ll stand out. Ask sharp questions, then listen. Silence uncovers truth.

🔸 They act like professionals
Sleep. Move. Recharge. Consistency > burnout.

🔸 They keep learning
Read one article. Listen to one podcast. Apply one new question. Daily reps separate average from elite.

Most won’t do this.
They’ll stay reactive, skip prep, and wonder why others advance.
You don’t have to.
Pick one habit. Start tomorrow. Stack another next week. “Kaizen” 1% better!
Six months from now, you’ll be ahead.
Top performers aren’t born…. they’re built. One day at a time.

Honored to provide the 1st resume writing and LinkedIn Optimization workshop for the @uoftampa newest business fraternity on campus.
@pse_utampa

Pi Sigma Epsilon is the ONLY national co-ed professional fraternity dedicated to marketing, sales, and sales management. And right now, America needs these upcoming graduates more than ever.
The Reality:
Sales drives 70% of the U.S. economy, yet less than 5% of universities offer dedicated sales programs (U Tampa does! @utampasise 👈🏻).
As Baby Boomers retire and Gen X are on the backend of their careers, companies are desperate for the next generation of skilled sales professionals.

Why It Matters:
Every innovation needs someone to bring it to market. Every startup needs revenue. Every industry needs professionals who can build relationships, communicate value, and close deals.
Sales isn’t about pushing products, it’s about solving problems and driving economic growth.
The PSE Difference:
We’re developing ethical, skilled, and confident sales leaders through real-world experience, mentorship, and professional development. Member don’t just learn theory…. they live it.
The next generation of American business will be built by those brave enough to start the conversation and create the future. And I am grateful to be given the opportunity to coach inside The Southard Institute for Sales Excellence and help facilitate the growth of Pi Sigma Epsilon at The University of Tampa.
