Featured Funding Friday! ✨

This week, we’re highlighting a proposal that supported 50 SDSU students in attending Disney Imagination Campus’s “Leadership the Disney Way” workshop at Disneyland!

With SSF funding, members of SCREAM, SDSU’s student organization for those interested in the attractions and entertainment industry, spent the day learning about leadership, teamwork, and creativity from Disney professionals. The workshop gave students insight into how Disney’s leadership principles can be applied to collaboration, innovation, and creating memorable experiences. Students also, of course, had lots of fun exploring the park!

Special shoutout to student lead Isabella Wu for making this experience possible!

For the next few weeks, I will be sharing the details that went into @sdsudtmfa 's 11-foot Pixel Mapped Lightbox, a project designed and implemented by SDSU MFA Graduate students with faculty mentorship. This one scenic/lighting element used over 11 universes of data to create dynamic images for @sdsu_ttf's production of "Twelfth Night" during the 2025/2026 Season. Help Celebrate our 100th season by voting for this project as a part of the LDI Awards of Excellence program and Go see "The Wild Party" which opens this Friday.

An absolutely JOYOUS afternoon with the incredible young musicians at San Diego University in a joint masterclass with myself and Time for Three. Truly beautiful improvisation, real-time learning across the aisle, genuine “ah ha” moments took center stage amidst a safe, inspired and incredibly supportive atmosphere. Pure heart medicine!!!!
